Don’t know about any prohibited post, but the psi readings didn’t seem to change much before/after the wear plate install. I’m hoping to get it out this weekend for a test run. We’ll see how this it does then.

@@AdventuresofHappyOurs I had posted that I have battled this same issue with my STAR engine in my 07' M341. Have done about everything you have yet still low PSI and overheating when running over 3800RPM. My readings at idle are about PORT 3.5 / STAR 1.6. Was about to install a wear plate from another manufacturer. I think I posted the website and that was why removed. Anxious to see how yours runs out, but skeptical if you did not see PSI reading improve to match PORT engine. My wear groves do not seem enough to warrant the PSI being 1/2 of PORT side. Its very frustrating as I can not run on plane. Thanks. Have 3- 341's on my dock and we all love your channel!

@boydsmith6864 yes exact issue. My sb pressures at idle are very low. Even after the wear plate install. I’m at a loss. My next step is checking the shaft alignment. Perhaps it’s creating drag. More to follow.

@boydsmith6864 I also pulled the pressure sensor on the trans cooler and cleaned it. But it seemed fine. Temp sensor was replaced. I may swap the pressure sensors to see if the pressures follow the sensor rather than just throwing more money at it.

I connected hoses first then mounted the pump with the bracket. It’s easier to work on and see what you’re doing.

My house bank has 2 6volt batts. Has served me well. 2 6volt deep cycle batts keep two refrigerators and anchor lights lit on overnight anchorages without running generator with no problem.

Nope.. it will work either way. Can’t say that for every raw water pump, but this one it doesn’t matter.

Be careful with that setup. I've used one similar to it and you have to use a custom impeller that is shorter to account for the shim thickness.

I also switched to the Hardin Marine Stainless steel pump housing and it fixed my problem.
