I bought a 2017 nitro z18 with the mercury 150 optimax motor. I only have about 5 hours on the motor. Ive brought it back to bass pro shops 3 times in less than 2 months. I will be bringing it back again. My motor wont idle correctly and dies when I put it into gear. It also dies when I slow down to idle speed. My first time out the engine wouldnt start. Nothing like sitting in a 40k dollar boat with a dead engine. There were all kinds of rigging issues as well. I hope you had better luck.
ubb4me I've only had one issue and the belt broke which was covered under warranty. Other than that it has not had any other issues. It's been the best motor I've ever had.
@@tomcat6918 sorry for the delayed response. I'm in CA and was evacuated for a while. I'm back at home, everything's ok. No, they weren't able to duplicate the problem even though it happened to me again the next time I took the boat out. I started having health issues so I haven't used the boat at all for a while. Maybe soon.
ubb4me sorry to hear about that hope things get better with you I just got out of qurantine for Covid and now I can’t go back to work till I get a negative test which my health department said it can take up to 3 months
