Right on Zach, congratulations on the purchase. Here's the details on the cell phone mount: Mercury Accessories ROKK Universal Phone Clamp: wired2.fish/ROKK-PhoneClamp
Good to show this because i always see people just race away with their new outboards and when you aks them if they brake em in they don't know wat you are talking about
The oil and lower unit should change, at plus 20 hours is what I recommend, please. Break in oil in a new boat. Eventually it will be a semi synthetic. Once you change it, you are done in the engine. I rewrote the engine break in process, for my customers< and have over 400 engines in 2 years under my belt. The merc manual is so vague. I realized everyone would read line 1 and then 2 and interpret it differently. So, I decided made a good process that is simple to follow. Hate to steal the video, but contact me for a Six Sigma process that is easy to follow for a new boat owner or a seasoned boater. Happy to share but want some credit LOL! You only have one chance to break in a new engine that will last 10K hours.
@@badognobisc ima seasoned boater, but this is my first boat and motor of my own, understand me there? I grew up using my dads boat, at least when he would let me. And did the maintinence with him on his yamaha 90 4 stroke. See its even sunk motor completely under 4, times and i got it running 5 times. Mercury is different for me i like the power, i like fuel economy they get, and that theyre not so hard to prop unlike slowzuki spend thousands of dollars on how to prop it alone. And boy do i fly low over the water shallow water to with a prop on my flat bottom boat
