Repairing a poorly designed modern bumper on my neighbor's Mercury Mariner. One of many perfect examples for why I'll never buy any vehicles manufactured after 2000.
UPDATE I apologize for not showing the entire process here, but I had no idea this video was public. I only made it for a mechanic forum I'm a member of. Had I known then that it would get 5,000 views I would have made it into a proper tutorial. That being said, it's still a pretty straight forward process. All you need is a $30 cordless drill, a drill bit, and bolts long enough to reach behind the metal bracket. Once you remove the license plate you can use the existing holes as a guide for the size bit and bolts you need. Line your plastic grill up, drill through the existing holes into the metal bracket, insert the bolts, tighten the nuts. Bob's your uncle.
