Do you know if the editors would work with a TRS to MIDI in/out splitter cable with controllers such as Disaster Area DMC or Morningstar MC? Many seem to be having trouble with one way ports.

It depends on the specific device. It must provide midi-in and midi-out on TRS. The Morningstar Omni ports are just midi-out. The Disaster Area MidiBaby and Qconnect provide midi-in and out on TRS. Check the users manual or contact the manufacturer. I recommend using the Meris MIDI I/O, it works, and provides the MIDI opto-isolators that prevent ground loops.

The "SY300 panel" just on Windows. The editors I developed for the Meris pedals are all on Mac and Windows.

Hi @Elliot Garbus, and thank you for making this piece of excellent software. I have a question, I have my M7 connected vidi a Disaster Area MIDIBOX 4 (it has midi in and thru), then through an RJM PBC6X which sends midi via usb. When I try to connect to the interface, it doesn't connect. However it does read presets, but then displays them as no name with no settings. But it does reflect changes I make for toggling presets in the interface and shows the LEDs moving on the pedal itself. Do you know what I could be missing here? Thanks!

@Thomas Hopton Sorry for the long delay. The DA MIDI BOX4 will not work with the editor. The MIDI Box only sends data to the pedals, it does not have a midi out from the pedals.

Hey there! This looks incredible and have already played around with it. I was curious if this would work with the Strymon Conduit as it is bidirectional with it's midi outs? I'd rather have theirs as I have other midi devices that use different trs types and this would be able to play nicely with all of them.

I expect it should work with the Conduit. I have not used it myself.

Hey Elliot! This editor is amazing! Well done! I however keep running into an error when I try to update a preset or save a preset to the lib and merc. It says error the sound is in the Library as: "whatever preset I dragged into the slot. Any ideas? Thanks and have a happy new year!

Let me know how you are connecting your computer to the pedal. Is the connect indicator green?

@@ElliotGarbus it’s connected through a midi to usb cable that is going into the in and out of the Selah Quartz V3 midi controller which is connected to the Mercury. The editor goes through the connection process but the connect indicator is not green until I drag a preset from the library into a slot. Then it turns green.

@@joshuamiranda1825 The Selah Quartz V3, only sends midi out on the TRS Jack. The editor requires a bi-directional connection (midi-in and midi out). I suggest you use the Meris MIDI I/O in place of the SQV3.

What OS? Older versions of MacOS seem to be temperamental.

@@andresortiz6 Very strange... I have held off upgrading to Catalina. I don't know why it doesn't open. When I upgrade, I'll give it a try, and update the app if required.

Elliot Garbus I had download the app the day before yesterday. Was able to get in and edit and transmit like your video. I didn’t get to use it yesterday. Today I restarted, did a complete shutdown and reinstalled the app.

Andres Ortiz open the Apple audio midi setup and make sure things look good. Leave it open and then start the editor.

Hello Mr Garbus, your apps are so efficient that i became addicted to them. A catastrophe happened yesterday, i replaced my studio desktop and i keep hitting *fatal error, failed to execute script main* when i try to open the apps. Also, when i downloaded the files, Windows was badly suspicious telling me i shouldn't open them, wich i didn't care anyway and did open them. The apps are working on my laptop so i copied the files from it to my desktop with same result... Finaly, every apps i loaded on my desktop (many) are working fine. I am not sure right now how i can live with Meris pedals and no Garbus editors. If you happen to read this and can give a hand, it would be hugely appreciated !

I suspect that a virus scanner is corrupting the install. Try disabling your virus scanner during the download and install. If that doesn’t work let me know. There are more things we can check.

@@ElliotGarbus Hey ! Cool to read you. I did disable but it didn't prevent from warning me as before. I bypass it and It lets me install the program and the file looks full and ok. I just can't open it. I also tried the option for solving compatibility problems. All it could though was to tell me that the program was incompatible.

Breaking News ! I gave it another try, in despair, it worked ! It doesn't seem to relate to the old presets and library files though. I don't have time right now to test the sounds in the pedal but the library in the app is not too encouraging. Is there a way to make my old files communicate with the whole ?

@@slylang if your old machine is still running, open the editor and export all of the presets to a file. On the new installation, import that file. Alternatively you can find your old lib file and import it.

Hi Elliot, Trying to get this to work with a Yamaha MD-BT01 Midi Bluetooth adaptor but it wont connect. Works fine with my USB Midisport UNO.

On Mac or Windows? On Mac you need to go into midi setup to configure the connection.

@@ElliotGarbus Hi Elliot. On Windows 10. I can connect the MD-BT01 to the Laptop fine but when I run the Mercury 7 program it does not show the device as a connection option in the connect menu.

I found a partial workaround using MidiBerry on windows and loop midi but this only provided one way communication so not really helpful.
