This is something her mentor did when he used to operate. I like that they include these small points as a call back specially for someone who has seen the show.

No offence to Nick but since I've been watching GREY'S ANATOMY since its first episode I'd only love DEREK AND MEREDITH. For me they were the definition of true love. I don't really believe in love but seeing Meredith and Derek makes me wanna believe in love and that TRUE LOVE actually exists. I've literally prayed to God that I get someone who loves me just like Derek loved Meredith and that he looks at me like Derek looked at Meredith. They had the best CHEMISTRY.
