I got me a gold model...these things are FANTASTIC. I just set and forget at a 2 setting for a 3 pass and man...perfect! Watch out with the feathers though, this is a VERY close shave.
thanks for the vid. hey rizigs: how easy is it to clear long hairs that get stuck on the razor and wont easily wash out? i'm using merkur 37c and it's a challenge to clear hairs longer than a stub, as I shave my head with it as well. thanks for the advice.

The Merkur Futur 700 will hold your hole life. This Razor looks like new after years. This is the only razor you need. For me, the best razor all time. Amazing shaves amazing build quality.
Absolutely, any double edge blade is recommended. I also would recommend you to use the lowest setting (1) if you get this exact model. Once you get the hang of it, you can increase the setting for a closer shave.

Never wanted to buy this. I think it looks ugly if I was going to try that style of razor I would get the Mingshi or Qshave . I’m happy with my Shavette and MuhleR41 I would get the Progress,34G and the 37 slant
