I’m so sorry for your loss. I have lost 2 of my 9 children my oldest daughter 12 years ago, my oldest son on March 6th this year his birthday is November 26th, 1964. It is the hardest thing I have ever gone through. We also lost a grandson January this year.I wouldn’t bring them back to this terrible world. We are so blessed to have them in Heaven with our Heavenly Father . Thank goodness for prayers. This is a time I can say I know what you are going through. I don’t know how people who don’t have the gospel can get through it. May the Lord be with you.

I am so heartbroken about your loss. I really know how you must feel. I am the last one in my family as I have lost my parents and both sisters and both my brothers and I know how hard it is. My prayers are with you both and your family. I loved the Osmonds since Donny was 12 years old and I do love all of you. I am just heartbroken by your loss. I am the same age as Merrill 70 years old my birthday is April 3,1953 I know he was born the same year.

I'm so very sorry for your loss 😢 I went to high school with Troy. We had Orchestra together and I'll never forget how he was always smiling 😁 He was so kind to me and I'm so grateful to have known him ❤️

My son Callum who has Downs syndrome ( the DS part is insignificant) he brings us so much joy. He was diagnosed with a heart aneurysm, out of the blue. I couldn't eat or sleep or really talk to anybody. He had a 50/50 chance . It has changed my outlook on life. Luckily he's still here doing my head in thankfully every day. I haven't always been kind, but I'm trying every day to thank God and be a better person I have you on my heart, Merrill and Mary and family ❤

Oh sweet sweet lady Mary, you heart hurts with your words yet no words can describe fully your mothers feeling of pain loss. You have the sweetest husband by your side thank the Lord. Such a wonderful family, Troy went home way too soon. But you both are teaching lessons in his name for the greater good. I lost my 24 year old son also named Troy. He also died in his sleep. It’s been 9 years and I still miss him every day.

I just saved your video here so I can replay it over and over as I need to. I am so very sorry for the loss of your son. Two months before your sweet Troy's death, I lossed my sweet husband suddenly/tragically (to suicide, depression due to worsening MS). I know that our circumstances are completely different here; yet, do understand the pain of such a tragic, sudden loss of a loved one so very, very dear. This touched me very deeply and I will keep your family in my prayers. I'm inspired to "Troy harder", especially during those times when the grief "tsunami" hits again, as it does out of the blue sometimes. Love to you all. ❤️

Sorry to here about your son Troy, it so heart breaking when we loose our Children, My husband and I lost our youngest son Matthew on May 30, 2005 he was Murdered, he was shot in the right eye and it killed him. He was 22 when he died. Left behind a 2 year old daughter and a daughter he never got to meet. She was named Mattison after her daddy Matthew. The guy that shot my son was never charged but, I know he will get what's coming to him for taking our son from us. He was put in the Cold Case system and we don't know how long that will take. Thank you for sharing your story about Troy, God Bless you Guys, It broke my heart that you lost apart of you too. Like we did. Parents aren't suppose to barrier their childen!! Dear Merrill and Mary, I am so sorry for your loss. Merrill, we met many years ago at the York Fair in Pennsylvania. My sister and I met You, Jay, Wayne and Alan. I am the mother of three and last year I lost my precious son in August. I am struggling to survive this devastating loss. My heart breaks anew every day. I do not know how to survive losing my beloved boy.

Im so sorry about ur son. Its tough.to lose a child u gave life to. I lost my daughter Brandy on Dec 2020 due to a ruptured bowel resection. My heart is still breaking. Like Merrill said ur not supposed to bury ur kids. May god bless u both and we will see them again someday!

But Troy is now in the paradise with our Heavenly Father and his son Jesus Christ, his mission on hearth is finish but not in the Paradise, there's a lot of person in heaven who need to hear about the religion and Troy is there to help all the persons in heaven to hear about the gospel. My oh my Troy sure favored his grandmother Olive ! Please accept my most sincere condolences. In 1997 I lost my 7 yr old son. He drowned with my 35 yr old husband in front of our 11 yr old daughter who was alone with them. Two weeks after my father died of cancer. I didn’t know he had taken them to a lake to swim near where we lived. I had two other children to raise at home in addition to the daughter with them. Everything Mary said is true about the loss of a child. No matter the age of your child. You never fully get over it. I healed by fighting swimming without placing your child in life jackets in natural bodies of water in our state. As well as forcing the electric company that uses that lake as a cooling source for the electric plant there. To remove a floating dock in the swimming area. It was floating in 13 ft of water. No life guards. I felt it implied safety. Our daughter struggles with survivors guilt to this day. We must try to go forward more positively just as Mary and Merrill have. For our kids. To live as they would have. To do all we can to make life better for others in spite of our loss. In spite of the hole left in our family. Thinking of Mary, Merrill, The Osmonds and all families grieving the loss of a child tonight. May they be comforted. May they feel the presence of the Lord and know they are loved.

Knowing a loved one has gone on to our Heavenly home and knowing we will see each other again, because of what Jesus did on the cross for us, is the only comfort and strength that comes from losing someone you love. Losing a child though, no matter the age, is enough devastation in ones life that God's strength and peace is the only real medicine for a true love loss. May God bless you both and comfort your family and loved ones that share your pain. So sorry for your loss, again may God bless you.
