Lol I love how caught off guard he was by it. If ya pause st the moment it happened, his eyes bout near rolled to the back of his head 😂😂. Something tells me if he hadn't been sore from the saber wound, she woulda hugged him A LOT longer.
On all seriousness, their talk after finding the astrium always makes me emotional. The line “Jedi and Nightsisters don’t travel together, but survivors we are that” is so great
I like how Cal instinctively knows how to handle her pain. Merrin has serious trust issues and rightly so. What does Cal do? Hands over his light saber first, the astrium later. He literally gives his fate into her hand. She is free to do whatever she wants. And that makes her feel secure and listen. And she is wise enough to let go of her pain.
In the next game, they need to have a love story between Cal and Merrin. What would a Jedi and a Nightsister kid look like. Imagine how powerful their kids would be, magic and force powers.
@@DropkickNation The majority do. It’s nice to have a little romance back in Star Wars. The prequels “romance” was bland and forced at best, and the sequels are almost entirely devoid of it.
@@4477superman No, they don't. It sucks and makes zero sense. These characters have zero chemistry and there is literally no motivation to fall in love for them. "Oh, we're both young and opposite gender. Guess we are a couple now." GTFO
@@DropkickNation suck it up dude. It's nice to see Jedi falling in love and still manage to maintain their connection to the light side + everyone panics, there were a few hints and everyside freaks out those who want to see them fall in love and those who don't just wait and see what happens
@@vulturez5913 No, it's not. It's BS and always will be. Take your 7th grade reddit shipping somewhere else and grasp the concept of restraint for once.
I don't know if I want them to become a couple, purely because couples in Star Wars always die. Anakin chokes Padme, Maul kills Satine, Jon and Cassian get evaporated and Han gets killed by his son.
well if we really think about it, we didn't see cal in the main story of star wars so either he died, or he ended up with her and settle down somewhere, retiring from jedi
I hope the sequel lets characters like Merrin actually join you as you explore, and even provide unique side quests based on which companion you have following you
Okay, so I always felt like Merrin was vaguely familiar. I finally figured it out, she really reminds me of Tali'Zorah from Mass Effect! The accent is similar, they look similar (when Talis helmet is off) and her personality is quite similar.
This couple, and if Ezra and Sabine end up as couple too in Ahsoka's series or a little bit further, gonna be my only hope for a Jedi + someone realtionship, do not end in tragedy.
If these two don't have a proper romance with a happy ending in the sequel it will be the greatest tragedy that has befallen Star Wars since Disney took it over. Which is saying a lot.
After everything Cal and Merrin went through, I was so happy to see they at least trust each other. They can def rebuild the Jedi Order and make more Nightsisters
I hope that Ivanna Sakhno will play the daughter of Cal and Merrin in Ahsoka series because she is russian like Tina Ivlev(that she play Merrin) and she look alike Cameron Monaghan(that he play Cal Kestis). In Ahsoka series we will see Cal and Merrin's daughter speaks with Zeb recognised like her father's master's species that called Lasat. I hope that Ezra will meets Cal, Merrin and their daughter after return of Jedi finding out that Cal's master was a Lasat like his friend Zeb

@@AlexTheDarkslayer They have to put him into live action, it would be a crime, otherwise. Also they have to use Cameron Monaghan, they based the character design on him anyway.

They probably wrote the relationship so that it could be interpreted either way in case the fans weren't onboard. But since so many people want them to be together in the next game, I assume they will include overtly romantic moments.
So you are going to jump right into a romance while you are being chased by the Empire? It is called STORYTELLING. They are setting them up, just think anout all the reasons why she WOULD NOT trust Cal. Yet she does. There is an interest. I would def not leave my home planet just for a friend…
It’s all very nice until they turned her Lesbian for that stupid ass book. SMH. What a stupid mistake. Not that I’m some ‘shipper but it was so obvious the chemistry that Cal & Merrin had and to not capitalize on that is typical Disney-era Star Wars.
@@AlexTheDarkslayer Well I never read the book (because of all the negative reviews I heard) but if there is even a remote sense of physical and/or romantic attraction, then she’s gay. And as long as Disney is in charge, I’m pretty damn sure this book is as cannon as anything in the last eight years. But hopefully fans can be united in sweeping that dreck under the rug and letting it stay there forever.
@@baronvg From what I know she's pansexual not fully gay. I've read the book and yes it's awful, oversexualized and cringe, but at the end Merrin and Cal start flirting each and there. They've teased us with a romance possibility for now. It's still a chance for them, even maybe not in the sequel but who know maybe in the next game they will get to be together.
@@Goro69Yeah, I’ve since learned that. In fact, there was even a line of dialogue in the first game that alluded to a relationship with another Nightsister. Fine. But if I may just let my conservatism speak for a moment, I think the reason so many people enjoy the Cal & Merrin dynamic is because we’re all still traditional and enjoy seeing a man and a woman get together. Nothing against homosexuality but I’m not gonna act like heterosexuality isn’t still the majority and something for which more people will infinitely identify.
