You've done a great job filming the aftermath???? no i don't think so... you should of got out and help.. i'm sure that young lady could of used some help pick up stuff, ( what ya think ? ) then you could of heard her story. but NO what we get i'm sorry too 3 guys AS you drive bye. merry x mas from Merritt
don't have time right now caught the 1st minute just you talking NOT YOU HELPING but if you are ill be the fist to say sorry BUT if you just their to collect a pay check hmmm i hope im wrong
You've done a great job filming the aftermath of a horrible event. Not only did it flood, but there is also snow to add to the misery. I feel so sad for the people who have lost everything. I don't think I would ever want to live near a river.
Thank you for showing the after math of my Home Town..♥️♥️♥️♥️ It's so heartbreaking to see my hometown being washed away. And the damage is unbearable. All the memories from the River swimming holes and beaches I've been on to fish are all washed away. Even the bridges.... So sad... Thank you for filming and being there to show everyone how bad it was.🙏♥️
My heart goes out to everyone who is affected, this is tragic at any time of year and especially so near to Christmas, blessings to you all ,from the UK 🙏
At the end of the day don't thank the government thank the hard working men and women of this beautiful land we call Canada. God bless the hard workers!
Thank you for sharing this. I am in Abbotsford and it is helpful to see what it is like in the other areas that are affected. We stopped in Merritt on our way home from Salmon Arm this past summer. So heartbreaking and devastating for you all.
When you look at this location geographically it's painfully obvious why it flooded. When the Coldwater river and Hamilton creek converge during a flood and flow into it's natural drainage, which is a constricted valley. Unfortunately, people built homes in the river bed. This same scenario has played out hundreds of thousands of times world wide - Will we ever learn? History says no, we will not learn.
There were signs that said no dumping here. There was a bag dumped right beside them outside that building. Maybe in the stress of all this she was trying to clean it up and then got stressed when the car approached. Looting is breaking in to a place and taking things. This is a bag outside a building stating no dumping clearly and loudly. Why was a bag of garbage put right beside the signs at the door. What even was that place? I do not call that looting. When people throw things out in most jurisdictions it becomes public property. There was no breaking and entering.
Finally someone who does put a music background on. Bravo. We need time and silence to digest it properly. Not as bad as I imagined. Just a clean up. No destroyed houses, or swept away homes, or mass destruction. Good news Thanks. I feel relieved already.A few days work and things will look good again.
We were there in the summer what a blow. I pray for the people. We went through it in Sayward 1990 3 times. As the rain stopped about the first of Dec. It froze up and we had a tough winter. Water lines blowing up and all kinds of fun stuff. My dad recorded 28 days of torrential rain in Nov. People don't know much about it, their was hardly anyone out there. It had flooded in 75, and in 1910 after Hastings logging had logged the valley in the years before and ran the timber down the river. The banks of the Salmon River collapsed and the river diverted permanently. This "Climate change" buzzword their bandying is just a political football, to push their "agenda". It's horseshit there's been floods fires and earthquakes all along. Earthquake, that'll be the next Episode.
@@irnieracing Yes, the climate changes periodically from week to week. It’s called The Weather! Our Sun controls the weather and the seasons, and right now it is entering another Minimum. We all have to expect difficult times ahead and prepare as best we can.
@@irnieracing you realize that's all fecal material, correct? The sewers backed up, there's nearly 1000 people still in Merrit, those 1000 will be become increasingly ill 🤒 The waste water plant, overflowed through the streets, the feces from the surrounding farms flowed through the streets. The entire region is contaminated with micro bacteria, if you remain there, the RCMP will quardon off the area, and they will not let you guys leave.
@@Inlinetodie it's definitely not all from the waste treatment plant. Only areas downwash from the plant would be contaminated and certainly the billion gallons of river water have washed it away and brought in the mud. But yah anywho who knows
Looks similar to high river in 2013, lots of work ahead but it is recoverable, I know as a fellow Canadian the hardships you will face, accept offered help, we were untouched in 2013 but we volunteered every second day until high river then it was three days straight to help a friend who was flooded, we just drove up to people who were cleaning up and offered to help
The time of year sucks. My uncles house was flooded in the big High River flood. They were able to get vacuum trucks in to suck the mud out. It was spring or summer. It got hot and all the mud in his back yard cracked and his garden started popping up through the muck. But happening when it’s snowing and freezing and then melting and freezing again. It’s tragic. They should just grab as much stuff as they can and move away. It will take years to to get those places back. I really feel for the farmers. It will affect everyone in western Canada.
Beginning of Solution's Trudeau Hires ...unemployed to go there (planes provide free transportation ( no more than 10 % of a flight) 4 90 days muderS to help. (Remove the mud) Local government... PurchaseS all used RVs 20 % above wholsale* To house them... Military provideS food and rest rooms. Work sun up to sun down... $100.00 US $ a day Min 5 days a week!
A snow pusher with a rubber cutting edge on skid steers and front end loaders is probably the most efficient way to get rid of the excess water and mud.
hey that doesn't look too bad. a little mud. cars pushed off the street ..until you get in the homes. moldy. damaged. 😳🥺. this is good to show worried people
How about putting your phone up and pitch in to help these people!!! How rude and heartless of you!! What a shame, WNC just went through somewhat the same ordeal. My heart's go out to you all! Except for the "reporters" 😡
How bout u pitch in. I can give you a list of people who need a place to stay and you can pay for their motel. I am doing a very important job of recording the real news. Something that main stream media rarely does.
@@irnieracing still cleaning up down here thanks! And I'm not out gawking and videoing everyone else's mis fortune! I just think it's a sad fucking day when humanity had rather document your tragedy rather than assist one another.
maybe you should look at the majority of comments that appreciate the video, and asking for me to film more neighborhoods to help those who want to see their property's state of affair.
@@irnieracing I really hope you put your selfishness to the back burner one day and are able to experience truly helping someone. Then again maybe you are, I just think it's heartless.
Omg all these comments about poop! Lmao. Exactly how much poop do you think a town of 7000 has. That's not poop. That probably has washed away. It's mud!
@@cassidypresley3271 we live here, yes, poop...they had to evacuate people due to sewage running into homes through toilets and covering entire homes in poop
I too live in BC it has been such a sad, sad, sad time. It is so heartbreaking to see all of this devastation. The past two years has been a living hell and now this. The town I live in is also right by the water so the community is always watching water levels due to constant rain it flooding is always in the back of ones mind. I really hope our idiot prime minister does not abandon the Canadian people.
@@irnieracing Might want to disclose that then. Apologies, seemed like you were driving in to get vids and the people you talked to weren't impressed. Just looking out for my neighbouring town is all.
So sad but this is all part of the end times scenario, the rapture and the 7year Tribulation are right around the corner. Please give your life to JESUS CHRIST today!!! Read biblical prophecy, listen to Dr. Ron Rhodes on end times chronology. PS: be resourceful, don't waste anything, there will be shortages coming like never before!
Jesus has been cumming soon for the past 1950 years, and EVERY TIME somebody says it's the "end times," we similarly end up blue-balled. Stop spreading the religious bullshit.
@@BlackEpyon Hi, all the end times prophecies are being fulfilled before our very eyes. The signs are converging for the first time. The rapture and the 7year Tribulation are right around the corner. Please accept JESUS CHRIST as your Lord and Savior today!!! Most churches aren't preaching on end times prophecy because it's bad for their business - they will have a lot to answer for on judgement day! But there's great links like rapture ready news daily and end time headlines and real theologians like Dr. John Ankerberg and Dr David Reagan and their guest. Dr. Ron Rhodes has a great video on end times chronology. Blessings from AB
