It was nice to hear the Christmas music in your video. Back in the day we'd hear that at Christmas in shops and stuff. Now all new "acceptable" music. I've had to step back substantially from considering politics after the last election ensconced a set of radicals at the top of the political heap in my state here in the US, where there had been a least some hope we would avoid it. I decided to join a temporary choir at church and sing again, because living in quasi-despair is neither right for a Christian who claims to have hope, nor is it healthy. The good at Christmas is, for me, kind of like Sam looking up and seeing a star, briefly, on the edge of Mordor: a reminder that there is still beauty out there, above the crap, and that the evils of our moment in time will pass and they cannot reach the stars to sully them.

Your wise voice warms like a Yule Log. Hope you and yours have a joyous Christmas season!

One thing the last 2 years made me realize was the value of family (compared to friends). Example: my former friends who became covidians wish death on the unvaxed just because; so I in turn wish them dead too. But my father also got big on covid, yet we don't wish each other dead at all, and instead get along as we always have
