Dude, happy holidays to you as well. Your tutorials have really helped me out. They are basically RU-vid college for post production sound. Thank you for sharing!
Man, your tutorials are super good and have been super helpful. I am 24 and this year I just finished my MA on film and I was really dissapointed with the lack of information and ignorance I've seen about sound in the faculty. Alternatively, I started working on some independent projects, some commercials and I'm slowly making my way in the industry. I still have much to learn, but I love what I do. I learned a lot from your videos and I wish you continue to make them as they can be helpful for many other people like me. I can't thank you enough. Merry Christmas and good luck with your next projects!❤
Hey Thomas, your videos are literally the best source of information for post editing on youtube. I use the stuff I learned from you every day and it really elevated my skills. Thanks for the amazing work!
Thank you so much for the amazing content! I work mostly in corporate audio, doing TV commercials, testimonials, live events, etc. and I am the only audio person on my team. I handle everything from the production sound, to the dialogue editing, mixing, music, sound design, and final delivery. Being the only audio person around, there are not a lot of people i can learn from in regards to upping my audio skills. So when you talk about a virtual mentorship, that's how i feel about your content. It has been extremely helpful in learning new ways to tackle problems, or things to listen for, or just a whole new approach to things. I am very thankful for all your wisdom and insight and always get excited when i see new videos from you, since every video, even if i've done it 1,000 times, your content helps reinforce or show me a new way and has always helped make my mixes and my workflow better. Have a wonderful holiday and new year! Thank you again for all the great content and i look forward to seeing more from you in 2024!!
I love your videos going in depth about parts of your sessions and they have massively helped me to transition from Fairlight to PT smoothly. Still, I think a video going over the very basics of PT and maybe the post chain in general would be very appreciated. Most other channels skip over it completely and focus just on dialogue, or they assume a musical background on their viewers and start from there.
Super cool, man , love your channel ! Merry Christmas ! Your channel has been a massive help, me coming all the way from South Africa , trying to push up the quality here our side , it’s been really helpful to see how bigger workflows do things 💪💪💪
Man ! +1 here ! I discovered your channel last year because I had the opportunity to work on two documentaries as a dialog and SFX editor, after a 5 years hiatus in audiovisual post-production. I was kind of scared, your videos reassured me and just made me follow the right tracks. At the end, I've been able to deliver a work I am really proud of ! All the good stuffs and work opportunities you had is not a surprise regarding your state of mind, all the knowledge you share, the tips you provide and the humility you do it with. So, thank you so much Thomas, Merry Christmas and happy new year in advance
Tom, the info you provide is breathtaking! I usually work in TV production, but sometimes have to hop in for 5.1 / 7.1 cinematic stuff. As this happens just 1-3x per year, it‘s always a motivation to hop back to your material and prep for the job. It‘s so motivating, I don‘t have the words for it. Have a wonderful remaining Christmas and s smooth x-fade into 2024!
Tom! Where can I watch the movie you did (I don't know the name) with "French Jack" and "Alex"? I've been dying to listen to the final result and actually watch the film since I saw those videos years ago
Do you find that you lose the highs while mixing with the windjammer on? Bet it really helps with a consistent mix whenever the HVAC blower turns on 😂. At any rate Merry Christmas and have a great New Year 🎉
