The old Mersey tunnel, was a 4 lane tolled roadway under the river Mersey, linking Birkenhead to Liverpool, and as you can see ideal for cycling and no traffic as can be seen, it would even allow two way bus traffic using the middle lanes as was previously the case, the left exit i stopped at gives a direct route onto the Strand where a new bi directional cycle lane has been built over a short distance.
Sadly the above will be in the future, but as we all know the future becomes the past in time.
I posted up the wrong video last night which was the previous year 2021, this one is in fact 2022.
