My friend, a young actress, met her and she was so down to earth, kind, and generous enough to have a short conversation with my friend. It's not often you find people blessed with so much talent, fame and fortune, who still manage to remain so humble and sweet

Her acting is overhyped. I liked a series of unfortunate events and some of her films but she's HYPED to the extreme like others are. They were just as good if not better. Look it up and research. The letter streep talks of was in a time when only young men could devote their time to things that were more intricate and detailed. Females worked their way up. None were educated by their fathers but were allowed to work their way up. The young men put hours in the women never could. Meryl is on the bandwagon of Hollywood. She ruined Emma's chance at getting an award with her awful lying rant. Emma Thompson is a far superior actress as is Glenn close. No one questions how streep has lasted. Nothing about the casting couch or nepotism. Why does she not put her attention to that instead of slandering someone who was actually a good human? He was ahead of his time and ahead of this mob culture. The proof is out there. No one wants to see it.
The Academy should add in a Meryl Streep category. So whenever the Oscars rolls around she gets an automatic Oscar even if she didn't make a film that year.

Oh please... I'm not saying Jennifer Lawrence is a bad actress, not at all, but Meryl Streep has demonstrated that she can perfectly adapt to every single role she has been given. Her control of her voice and facial expressions is outstanding. The fact that Jennifer Lawrence is cute doesn't make her a better actress, man. (Other actresses as Kate Winslet, Jodie Foster, Natalie Portman or Demi Moore are also better than Jennifer Lawrence). Anyway, it's too son to make that comparison. Meryl is been nominated to the Academy Awards 18 times and Jennifer Lawrence is just beginning her career.

how is it fucked up? Kim Kardashian is connected to a younger crowd and more younger people use the internet and youtube. It just so happens more people are interested in Kim and Kanye than Meryl. I love both of them and will watch both but not everyone will be. Kim has just the same right to get views online so stop bashing her and the views she got.
Our society to a large extent has been programmed with the wrong set of values. Too much focus on gossip and fashion and not enough on helping and supporting each other to make life better for everybody. Thank God for people like Ellen though.
Meryl is one of the greatest actress of all time.. She is truly a masterpiece sculpture brought to life.. And amazing talent fills the rest of bowl.. Kudos to the beautiful woman I love😍
