Mesa Dual Rectifier Rev F rebuilt with Hermansson 4 gain stages circuit. Both channels have a lot more distortion available, lower noise floor, better dynamic response, and a more musical EQ. I've installed my tightness control for both channels and re-voiced the "vintage mode" of the power amp section. Extra features for this amp are push-pull bright switches + a push pull tight switch and bias adjustment potentiometer.
Guitar straight into the amp, TC D-two in the loop and running through a Malmberg 4x12 with old greenbacks.

Killer work as always Mr. Hermansson, you're really crushing it on these. As much as I'd love to own one, they're just a little too impractical for my own personal needs. However, I do own a Quad Cortex and the capture of your HiWatt PA is one of my favorite models. I'd love to see some more work with Neural DSP on capturing these beauties that you've created! I think that's the closest I'll realistically come to one of your amps :)

Dear Sir, you have modified all kinds of rectifiers: single, dual, triple, two channel three channel, older versions and newer ones, tremoverbs and now a rev F, is there any of these those that make a particular good donor amp in your opinion? I am asking cause I really want to have you mod one for me but I do not know which one should I send, an early tremoverb, a single rectifier or dual rec rev e. Thank you in advance. that rev f sounded incredible btw.

Thank you! If I were to do a Mesa Rectifier for myself I would either choose a single rectifier or a 2 ch version dual rectifier.

Do you notice a difference between whether the amp you modded is rev g or rev f?

Hard to say when I don’t have played them next to each other, it’s been several months and many other rectifier rebuilds in between. But the ones with Mk III transformers might have been slightly more musical to my ears.
