As someone who's only been playing for about a year or so, starting to play using a skew list instead of a 'standard' balanced army meant I ended up developing both skills I wouldn't usually have but also bad habits that I had to try to work out of my playstyle. One tricking Riders of Theoden for most of the last year meant I got good at setting up cavalry heroic combats and making that one big Death turn work well, but I became really reliant on having Might to burn, and positioning in a way where I'd be stuck in moveoffs turn after turn. It also meant I never had to worry about getting traps or surrounds because my cav got knockdowns anyway, and most of my troops were Fearless so I never really had to interact with Terror as a mechanic. It's been interesting transitioning out of that and into a more standard infantry spear line army, learning a lot from both. Great video!

Smart move bringing Elias on, I watch every Crackermilk video so I have to watch this too now! Just a random suggestion too: I can see you’ve put a lot of effort into making the intro animation look sick, but I reckon it’d be better as a closing animation at the end of the video so the video starts the action right away (plus it could keep people around for the last moments when you could also put up a card to the previous episode etc.)

I’m in QLD as well. I’ve played one game and love it. I have the dead of Dunharrow with 3 hunters. Would love to learn more and catch up for a game.

I would say that goats are pritty skew animals.

Cavetrolls with spear are really sleept on. Beeing able to support Warg mauraders and batswarms is fun😂. Or just even that one goblin fighting a hero

I think there are two types of skew list. You have a 'semi-standard' skew, which is hyper-focused on some key aspect but still broadly looks and feels like an army. And you have 'silly' skew, where you dial a quirky concept up to 11 and produce something no sane person would bring if they wanted to consistently win games. It's the difference between an army like the Beornings contrasted against something like an 'evil' fellowship.

Am I a terrible person by spending 4 hours at my local club playing the same WK +3 barrow wight rise of the WK LL list? Also, would you even call that a skew?

50:09 I'm not sure where you are getting this +1 for the demo charge rule from? When you roll a 1, the charge is removed from play. The LL and FaQs don't appear to have anything to contradict this?

Does this classify as a Scewd list it's a mixed but also range/spell casting abomination list at 500 points I've been messing around with also brings fury and Witch King for stand fast. Has (12) Bows & (2) throwing Spears, (22) spears, (14) 2 handers and 2 spell casters.
