He was my 3rd grade music teacher in Awassa Tabor elementary school in 1968 e.c. His sister, Tereza Abebe, was my classmate and schoolmate throughout my school years. Then she went to A/A university economics department in 1978 e.c. A lot of water has flowed under the bridge since then.
Very very interesting Story you shared us!! But what is the , a lot of water followed under bridge since ? May be I'm Dump. I couldn't understand. I love Mesifin , music. I heard his songs when I was 10 th Grade at shenno ,High School in 1983 E.C So it is new to me still now after 33 years. His music is fantastic but we lost him Early.
Thanks for availing this online to all fellow Ethiopians who know and don't know this Great Legendary Artist and teacher Mesfin Abebe. Please do the same for all other similar Heros from the 4 corners of our great country. That is a great patriotic service to your country. Thanks
Yes we take everything for granted and we don’t miss it u😢 it is unreachable! All the people with good heart and soul that we did not care about their existence except taking advantage of the moments. Irreplaceable people and moments in life!!!
I respect and love Mesfin, even so, after I listened to the interview that was conducted by someone with his sisters and learned what kind of a person he was. He was way more greater a person than his unforgettable art works. Why such a precious person like him gone too soon? He was one of a kind artist. May God rest his soul in Paradise! My prayers and condolences to his family and fans, may God give you strength to get through this... I remember listening to his beautiful songs as a kid growing up in Gondar. The first and last time I saw Mesfineee in person was Summer of 2013, probably sometime in August, a winter/Keremt time in Ethiopian Calendar at Tekelehaymanot Church in Merkato. I was in Ethiopia and happened to be at Teklehaymanot church to celebrate the anniversary of Saint Tekelehaymanot (Plant of Faith's) day. I vividly remember pointing my finger to Mesfinee as to show my friends (whom they were there at that time with me) and saying here is Mesfin Abebe. Ayeeee...and'ande seweches eskewedyagnaw deres behiot binoruuu...
