Fredrik wrote this one by himself. He’s a very cold and technical writer, his songs always have that signature dissonance to them. The drums on the guitarist’s tracks are always simpler than Tomas’ as they write it on computer. Marten writes simpler songs (Ligature Marks) while Dick writes jazzy and confusing ones (Violent Sleep of Reason). They all have a unique songwriting style that fits well into their music.

They write it all out on computer. They come up with a repeating phrase and what each member does during that phrase. Then they typically come up with a shortened phrase ending to match up with 4/4 and transition to the next phrase. For instance, if a phrase is 3 repetitions of a 38 beat riff, the last riff will be cut short at 14 beats for a total of 128 to be 32 measures of 4/4.

I've loved and listened to this song for the last how ever many years it's been out and I have no idea what the lyrics are, I've never looked and I really don't care. For me it's like complaining that you can't see objects in an abstract painting.

To comment about you being unable to understand the lyrics, in my opinion, that's what makes metal so great. It causes me to keep listening in an attempt to understand. Each time I do, I learn more and more. The longer you listen to metal the easier it becomes to understand screams. It's fascinating stuff

Otherworldy track... prob my favorite of this album despite everybody tend to equate this release with bleed... you've entered the rabbit hole now challenge yourself and deep dive into the lyrics (Edit: rabbit is hard to spell)
