I found some free time so here's another stream! I'll probably be playing as a Mesmer in hardcore mode, but might switch it up. Might even let a few viewers join the adventure!
Hey man, I've picked up this game a week ago and have been absolutely confused for my first hours of the game. Great to have your content around to get a grip on the starting floors and I've finally reached the swamp today It's great that you've covered general progression, out-ranging enemies in melee, and the different playstyles for melee, ranged, and magic because I get so confused on the many choices of combat in the game (especially having minions) Great to see the energy in your videos while playing this game. It always leaves me wanting to get on my pc to play some barony. Hope to see more of your content
Firstly welcome to the community! Its a great game that I fell in love with back when it was first released for free on epic games. I'm sure you'll get many hours out of it too! Congrats on getting to the swamp! I think it took me quite a lot of hours before eventually making it there haha, but it was hours of fun! I'm really glad that the livestream was able to help you out as much as it has. I don't ever really have anything prepared to talk about, but I try to explain some of my thoughts and reasoning for my actions. I hope to eventually get to making proper guides on each class, each race, the 3 major playstyles, combining playstyles, secret areas and strategies in general to help people out that are new to the game! Absolutely amazing video's keep it up! =) It's fun watching you fly thoguh the levels when i'm having such a hard time estimating the range at which creatures can't hit me but when i can hit them. The rogue has suffered many :') the swamps was the furthest i got!
Hey Fr00ls. Thank you for the kind words. Its made me smile today and feel a little bit better. You'll get to flying through the levels as well soon enough! The hitting at max range is very precise, the best advice I can give you is to play solo and only stealth. Try to hit enemies from as far away as possible until you get to the point you can actually hit them. This is the safest and most consistent way to learn to do so. I originally learned this while trying to play hardcore for the first time. It gets trickier when you start fighting moving targets so its best to practice on ones who stand still! You'll get there I believe! Also if you need any advice or want some tricks I'd be happy to help. I've been meaning to put out more guides, but life has been keeping me too busy. I'm not going to give up though 100% going to put out all the knowledge of the game that I can put out!
What are you using to make your interfaces look this way? I just bought the game and it looks very different (equipped gear and vendor interfaces, for instance).
Hey Macro, the interface is part of the quality of Death Beta which you can access via the beta branches on steam. Just right click -> options -> betas : then pick Quality of Death. Looks great right!
