Captured this Stoat dance in my garden. I live in an isolated Dairyman's Cottage in the middle of fields far away from other houses. Wildlife behaves very differently in my garden and largely ignores my presence. This Stoat dance is proof of it.

The stoat is a rabbit charmer. It charms rabbits by leaping up and down in a bewitching dance. Rabbits become transfixed by this performance and sit still to watch it, unaware that the cunning stoat is inching slowly closer. When near enough, the stoat springs on the rabbit and bites into the victim's neck.

I watched a stoat charm dance some young pheasants who were watching it in a circle before it pounced on one and dragged it into the long grass.

Stanleyokychukwu: Thank you for the explanation. I didn’t know much about stoats but I did know that they prey on rabbits. I didn’t know their hunting techniques and so I just thought it had a wild case of the zoomies!

IDK but my guess would be he sensed a possible predator maybe a hawk or some other bird of prey above and those moves would make it almost impossible for the predator to lock in on him for the grab. Can anyone confirm or deny my hunch?
