wow, great price points for that gear. Hmmmmm. LOVE the auto-detecting midi router. Really great idea.

Dont know if you guys gives a shit but if you're stoned like me atm then you can stream pretty much all the new movies on InstaFlixxer. I've been streaming with my girlfriend for the last couple of days :)

Wow! That MIDI interface is just incredible, I'm amazed that it's taken this long for someone to make something so fully-featured. Love the 16-input audio interface too, kicking myself for not waiting until after Messe to order a new interface...

These look great , a good amount of inputs at a great price . Love that the Monitor controller is a very reasonable price too. Will be looking a lot more at ESI for my needs 👌🏽😎👍🏽👾

These look good for their price point but not a single one of those multi-input interfaces can be used as AD/DA converters over ADAT which rules them out for me.

I already wanted to get it for the fact this is the only way to get 16 analogue ins for that affordable price, but I have to say it's disappointing that there is a lack of rack ears.

I don't know how easy it is to fit that many connectors in a usable manor on the back of a 1u 19" rack box. Not without going to different connectors like the db type. I do agree that going outside of the standard 19" rack is a bit of an awkward choice. "Where to put the thing?" would be a first question.

According to spec it's 450 mm = 17,72 inch wide. Should be enough room.

vinnien yeah. Without rack ears it's not really an option to the Motu 16a AVB I have.

Nice, but that Motu interface is about triple the price of this ESI unit. And you don't even get headphones out and volume knobs on that unit. I think that 16a it's meant for going along with a Motu 1248, which is another 1500 euro's at least. Cool if you make money with your music. For somebody like me, not so cool.

vinnien I had a Tascam US20x20 - which is in the same price range as the Esi. It had the knobs and headphone out you talked about - but frankly I rerely used them. Monitoring via DAW is much more flexible. The Motu is in it's features almost perfect for me. Software and hardware is rock solid and - if you wish - you can hook it up to your network and control it via browser page. This whole environment is well worth the price (I'm also not a professional and where very deliberate in the beginning, too!).

I just got 2 days ago the ESI M8U eX 16-Port. I have a few questions / issues: 1/ It seems that the USB hub doesn't connect with the regular 5 PIN MIDI I have one device: Roli Seaboard 49 Gen.1 that only connects via USB-MIDI, no 5PIN connection on it Not sure but I expected the USB hub to be a MIDI connection but I wonder now if it's not only a power connection, which would be disappointing 2/ On my computer, the 3 USB/MIDI connections available and the #1 5PIN port are not visible 3/ if I want to use it with my computer DAW, do i necessarily need to unplug the AC/DC connection ? Thank you
