Messerschmitt Bf 109 - The Germans Used it From the Beginning to the End of the War  

I once met this old guy, who was a pilot in the RAF. Somehow he apparently had the opportunity to fly a captured BF 109. He was of the opinion that take off and landings were terrifying in that plane.

I always knew them as the ME 109, (ME ONE O NINE).
