Yes. He is more relaxed than a lot of house cats. He seems calmed by the presence of his owner but a lot of animals go into "protect the owner" mindset when a stranger like a vet touches them when the owner is right there.

Same here, when my 13 pound cat was about 17 years old, he ended up having all these tight hairballs on his belly. He would never let me try and untangle him without hissing so we ended up doing 4 sessions of combing/cutting the hairballs over a period of almost 2 weeks. My husband had to hold him while I worked on his hair. The whole time, his tail would flick and after about 10-15 minutes, he would start trying to bite and he would wail like he was being tortured. I assure you that he was never harmed, not even close. We would then of course stop but as soon as we would let him go, he would get away, stop and look at us like we were devils. 30 minutes later, he was back, wanting to be held. Go figure.

Why is this Puma not been taken to a Wild life Vet? He is not a dog or cat to be taken to a regular vet. Even a Cattle Vet is different from sùch vets

@@dhven9337 Because he's not wildlife! He's a house cat. He is a cat who lives in a house. House cat. Just because his genes are MUCH more commonly found in the wild doesn't mean he's a wild animal. He is a domestic animal, by residence and behavior. There's no reason that he shouldn't go to a vet for domestic animals. Messi was likely their best-behaved patient that month!

And perhaps cats too. I adore my little furball, but I'd be the first to say she can be a handful. I take her to the vets to have her nails trimmed (no way I can do it myself), and it takes two tecs to get the job done as she growls, hisses, and tries to claw them the entire time.

The vet was amazed at my cat's calmness when I took him. I guess due to him being calmly loved at home.

Can animals hear the ultrasound ? Perhaps that’s what bothers Messi - like whiny vacuums etc

@@sumeetsandhu9713 That's a good question as I know cats' hearing works to a higher pitch than dogs' hearing. From Messi's reaction, I don't think he can hear it - or if he can, it's not loud enough to worry him. If it was, he'd want to get away from it. Just like my cat does at 18kHz.

Yes, that is funny. Did you see how Messi walked past the dog? No hissing. Well, that is amazing. Why? Because he knows what dogs are they are harmless to him. He met dogs at his training school and made friends with them and he even took photo ops with his dog pals. That was so cool to see him sitting next to them so calmly.

Just because I have a gun doesn't mean I'm going to shoot you. Messi is a tame animal, and doesn't feel threatened by people. In fact, he likes people, so he won't use his "switchblades" on them unless under extreme provocation. Weapons are tools; the danger or lack thereof is determined by the mindset of their bearer.

When I first saw a video of the couple with a pet puma I actually got genuine ly worried about something bad happening, but after watching a few more videos and now being a subscriber and keeping up to date with the content these wonderful people out put, I no longer have that stigma after getting to know Messi, he's a big baby boy 😍😍😍

His dad said in Russian, Messi is like a son to him, like his own child.

And I assure you that the medical care in Russia for humans is miserable and probably as bad as it’s in African countries,...and this pet clinic in Moscow is a high-end facility and exclusive to the VERY wealthy who can afford it. It’s a weird reality when pets belonging to rich people are treated far better than poor humans. Sad but true.

Have you ever got a serious medical treatment in some African country? If not, how can you compare? What do you know about this pet clinic particularly? This couple aren't rich people at all, they are middle class people.

And since you asked, Irina, yes I do know what I’m speaking of VETR well (and far more than most others could even get close to knowing about by virtue of my profession), enough to compare healthcare for humans between Africa and Russia, and enough to know that the vet clinic Messi was examined at in Moscow is an exclusive facility only the very wealthy can afford...and that Messi’s human parents are nowhere near average/ “middle class” Russians by any standards. That's the difference between Russians and Most of the rest of the world. Russians live in a harsh climate weather wise. Russians on average are much fitter and tougher than many other groups of people in the world. That's what makes Russian soldiers so tough as well.
