The one thing I find disappointing about the PSVR2 (I know this is about meta, sorry) is the controllers. The games where I can use the traditional controller are so much better. I am glad apple didn't get stuck in this awful pattern. VR is just better with a traditional controller. Now apple has to actually start courting game devs for their macbooks and VR headset. I would be fine with the macbook link thing in vision pro being the conduit to play these hypothetical games - or at least the bigger games. When vision air launches for 1000 bucks or 1500 I think they will actually have a big enough audience to make it worth it. And game devs should realize that just being able to look around in a VR headset is good enough. Make the game work on a normal computer and then just add in this head movement as a VR option. When the oculus dev kit was out and people were hacking old games to work in it, this was all they did. And it was amazing!

This video remind me Ballmer and its the arguments against the iPhone when it first was revealed. That said, althoight, I really want that kind of product but certainly won’t buy any of the two: Both are too heavy don’t have a full covered vision. But if I have to chose I’ll take the Apple one. Only 12 apps but 12 real apps and iOS , but the main problem of the meta are the additional controller. And not sure how the real world is display or if it’s even possible, and the latency. Even the 13 ms of the Apple is not that good.

Computational computing? Strange how you need a MacBook as well to do it. Unless you can run Final Cut Pro, photoshop etc on the headset without an external computer then it’s just an over specked, over priced headset.
