Metabolic acidosis occurs when there are too many acids being produced or retained by the body. This causes the blood pH to fall, along with the bicarb level (also known as HCO3-).

Hi Sarah! We have an upcoming test with one of the topics being the different types of thrombocytopenic disorders, including ITP, TTP, HIT, HELLP, and DIC. I am sure it would help our nursing students/ nurses of the future if you made some videos for those! Thank you for all of your helpful videos to get me through the last nearly 2 years.
