Hi, Great video! I was just wondering whether step 6 is depicted correctly, as I wonder how the A-Ketobutyrate can be activated without CoA-SH and ATP.

What if you don't have methionine? The gov't mandated in the late 1990's that all grains, corn products, and rice be fortified with a cheap synthetic called folic acid...that builds up ... and gets in the way of using folate from the food you eat.. folate is critical in building nucleotides and producing the amino acid methionine . China is making hundreds of millions in profits annually on this one product. Those people who have been put on low fat diets are probably taking an excess amount of the made-in-china folic acid ... folate is necessary to produce meithionine. And nucleotide synthesis. You may already be short of methionine. and have chronic diseases like cancers, heart disease, autoimmune disorders, and dementia from it. It's something to consider. The folic acid thing is one of the most studied and written about topics in nutrition and yet the public, the doctors, have never heard of it. I only recently began reading about it and I'm so upset I can hardly speak... as you can read in this comment.

@@stellarossie Living cells require it. And that goes for cancer cells too.

Sounds like you have been given some misinformation. Folic acid and folate are a conjugate pair, which means they only differ by a hydrogen atom. In other words, they are the same thing except for one proton. Folic acid is converted to folate by the body. Folic acid prevents birth defects such as spina bifida. Since we started fortifying foods with folic acid, the number of babies born with spina bifida has dramatically decreased. Countless babies have been saved by this! The amount of folic acid found in food is perfectly safe. You say the doctors don't know about it. I promise you literally every doctor knows all about folic acid. We talked about folic acid extensively in my anatomy class and my nutrition class. Remember, there is a lot of sensational misinformation out there. Educate yourself so you don't fall for it.

Is there any way that one can reverse the inhibited production of Glycine N-Methyltransferase (GNMT) caused by allopathic drug? Can Sam-e help reversing it? It's been 5 yrs and my body is still not functioning the way it used to. 😭
