On PP's stream he was talking about this set in his Apex overview. He said after he watched Leffen destroy Mango in the $1000 money match he was super intimated. Leffen came back stage while the next set played where he saw PP. Apparently Leffen looked over to PP and said "After this you and me go to war." and Leffen looked really excited. And PP told him he thought it was more like a dance or a conversation. I thought that was an interesting anecdote.
The way PPMD thinks is based off the Inner Game of Tennis if anyone wants to learn more about it. I also recommend the Art of Learning as well. Both beautiful books.
Thanks for the upload but please plug Garrett Williamson for the music and Samox for the whole video, still, so people can find out more about it if they dig it Edit: thanks for doing so Jarrett! Great stuff
@@herrojason unfortunately no, since it's not been officially released yet. I recommend you checking out Garrett Williamson's soundcloud to not miss it!
It was cool as hell but unfortunately it was a little too slow. The reason why Leffen didn't grab the ledge is because he was a little bit too low on his side B. PPMD looked it over frame by frame when he rewatched all of his Apex 2015 sets and he agreed that he was too slow and if Leffen had grabbed the ledge, he would have probably lost that game.
this set with this song with all the history of PPMD… This tournament, Kevin fended off the Swedes to defend America and cemented himself as one of the greatest to ever play the game. I don’t know if he’ll ever compete again, but if he does, make sure to not sleep on the doctor
It hits so hard narratively to see PP popping off in front of a USA chanting crowd, after watching him struggle to overcome and make peace with the demons Mango brought out of him
