All three players started around 2007, and all three become internationally known in 2009. PP didn't really establish himself as a god-level player until 2010 though, while Mango, Armada, M2K and Hbox established themselves as god-level players before that.

PPMD definitely doesn't, and Armada I think doesn't either. Mew2king was a top level player with national wins dating back to 2007. Mango's first national win was in 2008, which is when he usurped Mew2king's position as the #1 Smash player. Hungrybox was a national contender for most of 2009, and won his first national near the end of 2009, over both PPMD and Mango. His next national performances were 2nd at Pound IV, losing to Mango, but outplacing Armada, 1st at Apex 2010 by defeating Armada. Armada's first appearance in the US was in the middle of 2009, when he defeated both Mew2king and Mango at Genesis, but ultimately fell 2nd place to Mango in a GF bracket reset. Armada can arguably be considered a god level player as early the first Genesis, because he was clearly on par with Mango, Mew2king and Hungrybox, and took many second places, but he was actually the last god to get his first national win, which was in 2011 at Genesis 2. PPMD's god status undeniably comes later than Hbox's. His first good national performance was 2nd place at Revival of Melee 2 in 2009, losing to Hbox. His next national performances were 9th place at Pound 4 and 4th place at Apex 2010, placing lower than Hbox at both events. His first national win was Revival of Melee 3 in 2010, which he followed with another win at Pound V in 2011. He was a very good player in 2009, but a tier below the gods. I was an active smasher during this time period and even attended a few of these events. I double checked everything with Smashwiki. Please check your facts next time.

He became sick, afaik it had something to do with low testosterone or something but before I write anything false, you can check his twitlongers where he describes it. He also said somewhere in January that he is doing pretty well but still not enough to compete again because it still drains his energy pretty quickly and he gets tired pretty quickly.

I can tell you now it has nothing to do with anything BUT THE FACT HES BEEN DRINKING ENERGY DRINKS LIKE EVERY DAMN DAY FOR GOD KNOWS HOW LONG. I don't think he used to, I remember him being skinnier and everything. That shit will kill you and he drinks it like water.

Now that's some shitty statement which you cannot prove. Consuming too much Energy Drink is indeed not healthy, but I don't think that this is his problem and that you can get a long-term illness from that (if you die from Energy Drinks, it will be quick since it will most likely be a heart attack). And as far as I know he became more fat because of his physical fatique caused by the lack of testosterone and energy, if even playing a few rounds exhausts you enough to go back to bed, I don't think he will do any exercises.

It doesn't need to be proven, its common sense dude. Furthermore, a few of my friends and even some parts of my extended family work for these energy drink companies, protein companies (most notably Redbull and Muscle Milk, a few smaller companies as well). My one family friend who worked for Redbull started drinking it every day. His skin tone changed color, he gained about 40 pounds in 3 months, and he had trouble concentrating and issues with exhaustion. I don't think its a coincidence that PP has the same trouble. I'll admit I don't know much of the backstory, but low T can be fairly easily fixed and I'm sure he would have bounced back already if that was really what was making him feel that way. The alternative is some genetic disease but its overwhelmingly more likely that his diet is catching up to him. Competitive gamers probably have the worst diets of any demographic, I think that's a pretty intuitive point as well. Combine that with an overactive adrenal gland and you get complete exhaustion.

Yeah peak ppmd was the best in the 5 gods era. Armada was the most consistent. But mental health is half the battle in melee and only mang0 has the fight in him to be humiliated and keep climbing and getting better.
