Yep, I am still inspired by the older stuff, even ones I still have not yet seen... I don't feel the same for current anime, and a lot of it today looks so generic oe samey lol
It’s mostly nostalgia, most of the anime’s that have survived form the 80s and 90s are the good ones. The bad anime’s are still out there somewhere collecting dust.
@@Gypsy_Crusader12 People remember the good ones probably because of the content and story. But I do believe the art style of the anime in the 90's are just better. Mainly because I love the way they draw the face back then. I don't believe it's because of nostalgia, The face back then are just more attractive IMO.
This show is so underrated. It was such a fun ride from start to finish with memorable characters, great writing, and awesome mecha designs/battles. It's Sunrise's hidden gem imo. Hoping it gets an official release in the US soon.
Shame this never got a proper localized release here in the United States. I would actually pay big bucks to own this on DVD or Blu-Ray, Sub and/or Dub.

Commander Bohn it's more so to blame that Mecha anime are just in general harder to produce, and if they aren't successful it's major loss of profit for the company producing it so chi significantly reduces costs....

This seems like a lighter and softer gundam series. Admittedly, it's better as its own thing than just awkwardly trying to make a cartoony gundam show...
@@kyonatsutora8065 Which honestly just goes to show how bleak UC Gundam is. Dragonar has its moments, but overall it doesn't even come close (though some would say that is good I guess)
For what it's worth, a lot of the real trauma and horror in Gundam is from the fact that dozens of armies across space and time somehow decide that pumping teenagers full of psychic drugs is the right way to make super soldiers. That or Cybernetics. The fact that the budding Dragonar team isn't constantly screaming, crying and wishing for death already makes it a bit less bleak over all
Jordan Fazende this was made by the same guys that made Gundam. They made it as a way to get people who weren’t into Gundam, into mecha. And this was intended as a spin off for the Gundam franchise
The humor is more or less similar to what was found in Gundam ZZ. Not that that's a bad thing, big Drama and Big Robots are an an awkward mix in my book, but I think that was what turned away many fans of the show at that point.
... i know translating from Japanese must be hard but somehow i don't think earthians is correct i also don't think you can win the military and i swear it said giganos set up an empite on the. so yeah i think im done here.
+stalectos I think this is from an old bootleg copy. I agree they should be re-done, but the anime itself is so hard to locate these day, I just ignore the subs altogether and listen to what's said. There's still stuff that I don't get, but I can get the gist of it.
