Ive met these guys 4-5 times in the most random places always in airports or restaurants either going on vacation or if they were in town playing a show. And they couldnt have been more nice. Actually having conversations and seem interested to the topic. Almost unbelievable rock stars being that humble. This song was written by Mark on their first record most of their first record was written by him when creed was still together/breaking up. So thats why the first record has a Creed esque. But once you hit their 2nd album Blackbird they really move away from it when they found out Myles is a hell of a guitarist. Lol could you check out Words Darker than their Wings live at the Royal Albert Hall ft the Parallex Orchestra please?? Youll be blown away! Myles hits crazy notes and Mark sings leads as well! Was the first song in their catalog where Mark sings more than harmonies!

I met Mark a little over a year ago and I will say being with him you would never know he is a BIG Rock Star. He is genuinely a great guy. Doesn’t ever speak down to you but straight with you. I will always remember that. A Great guy that made me feel like a friend. That is why I work so hard to try to play the best I can. He inspires me. And I am 59!

I have to say... I met Tremonti the day after a close friend was killed in a motorcycle accident. He was one of the most down to earth rock stars I've ever met. I saw Ttremonti 2 weeks after my mother passed away too.

I see Creed as a prototype of Alter Bridge. For me they're what Creed wanted to be and the missing piece of the puzzle turned out to be Myles Kennedy and they've been together 16 years now. On a different note. If you want to hear their heavier stuff try Addicted To Pain, Find The Real, Metalingus and Ties That Bind.

Just so you know these guys are the most down to earth people you will ever meet. I've met them several time and there is not one bit of Rock Star ego about them, they make you feel like they have know you all your life. You should also check Marks and Myles solo stuff.

It has the Creed vibe because it was supposed to be Creed until it was no longer Creed. This is the first album from post Creed and Alter Bridge

Very late to this reaction video. Absolutely beautiful song.. One small, pedantic point - at 1.8m (5' 11"), Myles is hardly small.. Ronnie on the othe other hand (incredibly powerful voice) was 1.63m (5'4")..so yeah quite petite.. Other than that - great reaction and I will now watch more of your channel. Thanks.

I'd agree with this sounding like Creed, with the caveat that this is from the first album, which by and large did sound pretty similar to Creed. Once you get to the Blackbird Album, and their album after that, they went for a harder rock, possibly metal, direction and let go of the Creed influences.
@Edmundrs3rd

Yep. Once the band found out that Myles could really play guitar and added that to the mix and also seeing he's a great songwriter as well, they really took off and completely separated from anything sounding like Creed.

Agreed, this helps people release the pain bond to each other over loss plus healing starts. I6 weeks ago i buried my wonderful dad and played this song not live of course, but It had a lot of people crying because they couldnt help themselves. In may 2016 my mom died with dementia it seemed we lost her long before we did but it was horrible all the same then may 9, 2017 my very close friend Jamie died in her early thirties O.D , on August 16, 2017 my closest friend Kate died at age 30 from a heart failure, and August 25 2017 my husband of 21 years and soul mate died at 50 of a stroke... i know not done yet, Then in October 2017 my friend Jenny my biggest emotional helper through those 3 very close losses committed suicide and I felt horrified that maybe my losses drove her to do it, later found out she was clinically depressed for a long time but was a good friend of my husbands he was like a 2nd dad to her we loved her a lot and she just hung herself while getting her sons laundry from the dryer for school. 6th grade. So songs like this almost killed me but I realized quickly I HAD TO CRY A LOT to get that pain and loneliness out or I might have followed them all home. I had 4 grown kids still and 6 little grandkids all girls who missed their papa. I couldn't do that to them all. So I HAD TO stay and suffer without my sweet metal biker guy we were soul mates we rode our Harley and he taught me to ride he was a trucker, we went with some bike clubs on poker runs and toy runs and we loved all of our friends who rode be they members or not didn't matter, we were open supporters, free spirits, honest hard working and big loving people. I've never felt so tiny and alone in my life after 2017 I cried 10x a day for 10 months straight almost took the jump several times but music got me through. Year 2 is even worse. Now at 4 years I still cry to songs and when talking of them all but knowing they have each other comforts me immensely. I still have not gotten on a Harley or any bike and its ok. It was our thing. So,Thanks for your opinions honest as our kind usually are. Survivors as well. Bless you brother, keep doing your thing. Just wanted to open up so you know whos hearing you talk about the music. New subscriber. First time seeing you. Thanks.Jude from Ontario Canada xo My big emotional song from my mans funeral is" til I see you again "(without rap) by Charlie Puth. Have a listen.

Dude I really get and agree with your criticism that it sounds like Creed. Although this is an amazing song and I will always cry while listening. But one thing you should know that this is from their first album which mark wrote most of it if not all of it. Also the record company wanted them to be Creed 2.0 because of the success of creed. There is even a tv performance where they perform I believe one day remains and jimmy kimmel announces them as creed with a new singer. But all of them wanted to be free as musicians so they ditched that record company and started from scratch. If you listen the first track from their second album “ties that bind” you can clearly feel the vibe. Again this song is amazing because of its genuine feeling but as musically this is not the real alter bridge, check out more from their albums blackbird or fortress. Stay safe bro 🤘🏼

Class job on the reaction mate, buzzing that you have appreciate what Alter Bridge are doing. I can only mirror what other people in the comments have said about them being grounded and humble. You were right that some musicians can be a certain way but these lads are an exception and truly appreciate their fans and their support, all round good lads. No pressure but if you are looking for heavier Alter Bridge tracks that you might relate to more, Metalingus, Addicted To Pain, Ties that bind that someone else recommended are a good place to start. As well there are loads of other epic tracks like Fortress, Cry Of Achilles etc. Again no pressure, but as you said you look to find new bands, Myles Kennedy is in a band with Slash called, Slash, Myles Kennedy and the conspirators and they have some class songs. Anastasia and You're A Lie and others are a good place to start. Would love to know what you think of Anastasia. Mark Tremonti has his own band as well called, Tremonti which leans more to metal in its riffs and tempo if you are looking to go a bit deeper. Good luck with the channel mate and hope you enjoy any other tracks you might listen to. Take it easy.

Your 100 percent wrong. Mark Tremonti wrote it for his mother...It wasn't for the crowd. But I don't expect someone who cries to s Jewel song with knowledge.

It pains me to hear you say that they sound so much like creed to you because I absolutely love Alter Bridge, Myles Kennedy, Mark Tremonti and I cannot stand Creed. I never liked Creed back in the day and even after getting into Alter Bridge and appreciating all the work Mark Tremonti has done... I just still cannot listen to Creed. Keep diving into their catalog. So far you have listened to 2 great songs but both of them are heartfelt remembrance of the lost and that upbeat rockin sound isnt fully there because of what they are. Listen to Isolation, Addicted to Pain, Metalingus, Rise today, Coeur D' Alene..... Then move on to the band Tremonti and have Mark blow your doors off in the best way possible!! You gotta keep going

Song writing is like a fingerprint. 3 of these guys are Creed members. It is what it is. It's not a knock at all! I think Creed had some decent songs. I prefer the Harder stuff they did. But it shouldn't "pain" you. If Axl Rose, Slash, and Duff started a new band, you can rest assured it will sound similar to Guns and Roses
