Ceiron Jones Gidday, no its just a hobby, fortunately l have long holidays, you could research history and detect for artifacts in those areas, with thousands of yrs of civilisation who knows, roman coins, treasure troves etc, its a great hobby but a tough career.

I have picked up signals with the back of the coil but the sweet spot would be a couple of inches down from the tip, using the front of the coil should put you right over the target, cheers mate.
