I've heard many complaints about the Garret cuff being too short and nonadjustable. Putting your arm under the Velcro strap is the way to use it as it provides a bit of leverage when swinging it than having your arm on top. Although I believe everyone has their own way of swing any detector, the hard way would be struggling with it as a result of not having balance especially when walking. it takes time working with any detector to become familiar with it. Practice practice.

Yeah. I have an Ace 200 and nickels ring up at 49/50. I plan on getting an Ace 400 soon.

Its great to have only a feq coin sizes in general. We in Russia have thousands of years in coins in the ground and so many coin sizes. All that is not iron is worth digging out😁

WOW - I recently purchased a Perwin hori-hori digging knife - nice to see you also using one. Agree with your comment that the original coil the Ace 400 comes with is nose heavy - how true. I did purchase the Garrett GIZMO cuff extender. Seemed the cuff originally sat at the wrong spot on the arm. Must admit, though, this is a good detector. It's a back-up to my Whites MXT. Happy hunting.

51 is a good number for an AT PRO, but not the Ace.

Hi. Love the videos, thanks for sharing. I live in Ontario, Canada, would the Ace 400 be good for Canadian coins, etc..??? would you recommend it to a beginner like me? Thanks. Keep up the good work buddy!

I would recommend other detectors for a beginner. While I had fun with the Ace I feel detectors like the Delta 4000 and the Liberator beat it easily for the same/similar price. If you have your heart set on one get the "I" versions since they don;t go by USA coin structure.

Thanks for the info. Just found the one Teknetics Delta 4000 at local store here www.canadiantire.ca/en/pdp/teknetics-delta-4000-metal-detector-0790153p.html let me know if its the one you suggest. The price seems reasonable also and cheaper than the Ace 400. Comes with headphones and pin pointer, seems like a good package price.

That's the one. Has all-metal which the Ace lacks entirely. Just as deep...quite fast...and being 7.7khz is great on high conductors like copper and silver. I'd take it over an Ace any day.

Glad you enjoyed it. That is a Hori-Hori knife. They make for great digging tools.

Both are capable park and school hunters. I always preferred the LRP over the 400.

in your video you mentioned that the larger coil on the 400 was a little nose heavy. I'm new to all of this but just got my 400. Will it work or can you mount the coil backwards on the stem to reduce the end weight or will it not function correctly?

It will still function correctly, but I am unsure if that will help. The problem is the short arm cuff and heavy housing.

@@thehuntergt I took it out yesterday and reversed the coil, it did make a significant difference in the weight and operation. Functioned to me like normal, but like I said I'm new at this. Will be using it reversed from now on, try it and let me know what you think.
