Hey brother you were about a mile from my house on this hunt, thats my dove hunting field!!! That cistern is up high so the water can run down hill to the house or whatever. it was probably filled by windmill.

The object at 9:15 is a reins guide. I've found multiple that have the same silver plating on them.

May have been an artesian well back in the day. The overflow pipe would allow the water to run out the side and water could be taken at the pump if the water level lowered. I've seen artesian wells run for years and suddenly dry up. Thanks for the vid.

these videos inspired me to get out there and start searching all the stuff that's buried in the ground and under water. Metal detecting and magnet fishing are a fantastic way to spend time in the nature, find great relics and leave places cleaner than you find them. Will soon start metal detecting in water.

Look for a old town were they are removing the old road and replacing. So many great finds especially near stores, bars and banks.

About 63 years ago a guy from Gettysburg moved to my home town on the Coast of Jawja and he had boxes of bullets he found in plowed fields around Gettysburg. Found by eye and not metal detected.

That pump sits on top of a cistern. I have seen domestic cisterns that were larger. There is a site of a structure somewhere. It looks 1890 ish to me. When raising hogs it is good practice to NOT let them have access to streams, if the stream is subject to flooding. Fear of thunderstorms makes them stupid. I know I lost 30 young Sows during a lightning storm and rising water on land. Could also have been an earthen fort surrounded by an abattis.I admit I am completely devoid of a real solution.

I don't believe you can find gold coins out in a field where peasants or farmers once had lived. You need to search around old court houses where attorneys used to hang out. ;')

Just think, you got to hunt with your friends and it wasn't raining, sleeting, or snowing. You didn't cut your finger on a piece of glass, or metal, and you didn't twist your ankle in a mouse hole. You did show us a mighty weird cistern and those aforementioned mouse holes and their nests. I for one thought the video interesting, as you never know what you may find, and a romp around a field with friends is always good. It beats a stick in the eye or a boil on your bum that's for sure. Not sayin' I have either, just sayin' it beats being bored and stuck indoors. Thanks for sharing!

All livestock required by this part to be identified as U.S. Suspects shall be tagged with a serially numbered metal ear tag bearing the term “U.S. Suspect,” except as provided in § 309.2(d) and except that cattle affected with epithelioma of the eye, antinomycosis, or actinobacillosis to such an extent that the lesions would be readily detected on post-mortem inspection, need not be individually tagged on ante-mortem inspection with the U.S. Suspect tag, provided that such cattle are segregated and otherwise handled as U.S. Suspects.

Today was my first day out for a few hours. Didn't find much, but it was at a park by one of the finger lakes up here in NY State. Am hoping to go get some permissions sometime, if my ole bod will cooperate. I envy your energy and flexibility. Keep up the good work tho.

I visited there last summer and they said it is illegal to detect there but, they have caught people that sneak in at night. How did you get permission?
