Thanks for watching Randy! My wife does all the editing so I'll pass that along. And...I think you're probably right on both of those mystery items.

I can't imagine finding that many wheats in one day. Last one i found was a 1918 in feb. Of this year. Schools and parks here noting but clad.

Thanks for watching! I've been very fortunate the past few years in finding older stuff in public places. I know it's not like that everywhere.

Thanks for watching Richard! Funny you say that, I just saw someone with something very similar on another channel describe it as a horse brida rosette, so you may well be right!

I've been digging lots of king George pennies, they are the Wheaties of Canada, all in the 1940s too, why can't I dig a dime or quarter that old 😅

I watch R Dogg routinely up there from Canada. The one thing you have over us is the looney's and tooney's. It's a real rarity for me to dig a clad dollar coin! Where you from in Canada? I spent my high school years in North Dakota, 15 miles from the border with Saskatchewan.

@@dirtlifedetecting I'm in Simcoe county Ontario Another very small advantage is we only had zinc and steel pennies from 1997-2012, so the majority of the pennies I find are copper, but it also depends on area, some areas are loaded with zinc and or steel
@dirtlifedetecting
@dirtlifedetecting Месяц назад
@@digginggopher Yes, our copper pennies ended in '83. This zinc stuff is horrible out of the ground. Unfortunately, I dig those because you never know when it's a silver ring!

Are you supposed to be digging on ball fields? 🤣Idk I'm knew to this 😂

Good question. I'm lucky in that my large metro community and my State, for the most part, do not have rules against detecting and don't look negatively on detecting. I also work for the largest school district in the State and they know I'm there. However, the fields I like to dig on are way old and not in use for anything except neighborhood kids playing pickup soccer. No leagues or even organized practices. I stay away from all active fields. Plus, you find a lot more on the sidelines, bleachers, etc. Sorry, this got long and could be a lot longer. Thanks for watching and thanks for a great question!

What's your favorite aspect of using older techniques or equipment for detecting? Are you on Facebook / Insta? I'd love to connect and hear more about your experiences and insights! Let's keep in touch!

Thanks for watching Fahim! I just enjoy finding stuff that ties into history. I'm not on either facebook or insta at this point, just here on youtube.
