I headed out with Bruno to search the water off the beaten path. Things started off pretty slow, but picked up quickly. That was a nice pile of silver!
Enjoy watching your videos from here in England. Wishing I was in Florida with the beautiful beaches and clear water. You are always so kind and patient with people especially cheeky children who ask for your good finds😆. Like the new hair cut btw. Keep doing what you love. Blessings.
Always wonder what you detector guys do for a living to afford multiple $1000 machines and $650 sand scoops. I make $36/hr as a union electrician and couldn’t imagine dropping $600+ for a scoop. Heck took me 3 months to convince myself to get a cheap $80 one. Must have a very easy going wife and older or no kids to be able to drop money like that and go out all the time for hours.
Liking the new look!!🤙🏼 you look like you just came out of high school 😁 and the slim and trim look adds to the overall stealthiness😎. And the icing on the cake is a NEW TITANIUM SCOOP??? MAN SOMEONE IS REAPING THE BLESSINGS ❤️🙏🏼💯! ALOHA FROM HAWAII 🤙🏼🤙🏼
I love watching your videos! So much fun! When I saw all the sand dollars, I got so excited. I collect sea shells, but there are two things I can't find because I live near the NC beaches. I can never find sand dollars and sharks teeth. Just wondering if you could send some sand dollars to me. If you can't I totally understand! Love your videos.
Those sand dollars were all still alive, so I can't take them out of the water. I don't find too many dead ones. When I do, I'll usually leave it in an area where someone will spot it while walking the beach. They're so dang fragile, that I doubt they'd ever make it in one piece in the mail
I’ve been enjoying using your scoops! I mostly use the titanium but when hunting areas that are rocky I’m using the tougher stainless one. Great products!!😎
Hi Sean, much respect to you, a stand up guy. I had the manticore for a week and working on beach settings. Could you please give me base settings you use for the beach salt water mode. Sure would be a help. Or maybe do a video on how you determine the settings you use for the manticore. Just a thought. God bless
Thanks! I run the Surf and seawater program with the sensitivity at 16. I turn the threshold up until its audible, and noise cancel periodically, especially when I change depths in the water, or the substrate changes from sand to shell
Thank you Sean, very much appreciated. If you ever want to do a skydive I can hook you up or any questions about weight training, photography, roof problems, give me a shout anytime. Keep up the good work, God bless
It's cool when you find jewellery amongst other things but the real reason I watch is even though I can swim I'm terrified of water especially the ocean! So when I watch it's almost like im in there with you and get butterflies the whole damn time!
Cool! I don't remember much but I did book report on manatees when I was in high school all I can remember is that they have several sets of teeth through out there life and that they are herbivores that's really cool! Thanks for replying to my message! You just got your self a subscriber.
Yea I got one like that from Amazon. Don’t know what these guys do for a living to be able to drop 650 on a secondary scoop. I know he said the company gave him one but a lot of comments say they bought one. That’s a heck of a lot of money for a scoop. More than my detector and cheap scoop combination.
naples had a 9 foot storm surge! its all trash. we had a 3 or 4 foot storm surge, that brings up better finds. my hometown, theres great finds on the high sand by the RITZ, nothing in the water there but storm surge crap. They are still finding ENTIRE chunks of furniture on the regular there.. wouldn't doubt entire cars are there waiting to be discovered one day.
I heard someone say once that if rich people drop a coin they bend down so fast to pick it up it hits them in the head on the way down 😂 seems like I never find anything in front of expensive hotels. Still try though 🤷♂️
Sand dollars are little disc shaped animals that live on the ocean floor. When they die, they turn white. They're more desirable to collect than sea shells for most people. The numbers are displayed on the screen on my metal detector. Each number corresponds to whatever type of metal I dig. The numbers help identify the target before I dig it
Yes and no. There's detectorists that hit the popular areas every day. Those areas are usually pretty well picked over. If you find a washed out area in a section of beach that doesn't get detectorists, you can do very well!
Jesus a titanium scoop!!! A regular stainless one runs 60-180. That’s probably a $300 scoop without the shaft. Add in the carbon fiber shaft and that’s a $500 sand scoop. I just don’t understand where people get that kind of money for a hobby. You have probably $4-5000 worth of detectors. What do you do for a living to afford that much time at the beaches and all that equipment?
Holy crap I was close but man you can tell these were expensive by the fact the price is hidden u till checkout. $650 scoop + shipping!!! Reminded me of the old saying. “ If you have to ask the price you can’t afford it”.
I'm a tool and die maker by trade. I'm very passionate about the hobby, so I just save until I'm in a comfortable position to purchase the gear I need. One good ring could potentially pay for each piece of equipment, so I'd hate to miss that ring because of inferior equipment! As far as time goes, I really don't have as much free time as I'd like. I'm single, so that REALLY helps not to have someone complaining whenever I go to the beach! 😂
as a reasonably happily married man of 32 years..... i feel comfortable telling you shawn that you look MUCH better with your hair in a more normative posture!!! lolol
