You said the buckshot was a really good sign and a spill. Your youth and inexperience is showing. Someone just shot at a running deer and peppered the field with buckshot. Also there are many sizes of buckshot #4 buck # 2 buck ect. That field could be a hunting field for generations. Enjoy your hobby and your education.
