I’m no expert but I have watched a lot of History channel while in a Holiday Inn. The brass octagon thing @ 5 minutes is a control knob from a flying saucer.
Bahahaha wasn’t sure if anyone would catch that one. I’m hoping the content will be easier back in the north. It’s hard to get full length videos here because of so many travel days.
Sympathy pains from prickleys all the way in Maine! Thank you for suffering through them to give us that gorgeous adobe tour. That fish was so neat! And looked so yummy! Another great adventure, thanks, Dustin!
Thank you for pointing out my ignorance and educating me on the appropriate use of Komoks. In my defense I will say its hard to know where comments come from on a platform that can reach anywhere in the world. However, I did take your comment seriously and I did my research. I give you my sincere and humble apologies. It weighed heavy on my mind that I would automatically take for granted that the Europeanized spelling of this place name was the correct one in an area so rich in history of the many Indigenous Nations that live on the west coast and beyond. And, of course then that brings to mind all of history--good and bad--of the original Nations and People who occupied these lands long before the Europeans made it their home. I had the opportunity to tour through the church in Yuquot last summer. It was such a sad a disturbing monument to European colonialism. I wept at the thought of the losses of our West Coast Indigenous Peoples. It was a sobering visit. Good to see that the locals had made an effort to take back the church by decorating it with their art, but it still is what it is. I truly appreciate your comment as it has reminded me to continue to check my understanding of ALL of the history and origins of this land we inhabit. I DO respect the PEOPLE and NATIONS who were on the land first. And I will continue to educate myself. Thank you again.
Love your travels you take us on .The brass piece is from a container the seal a cable goes thru the little hole and locks in place 🤔 seen 1000s again thank you for the adventure 's
Ohhh I'm so excited for your announcement!!Sounds impossible to turn down. Again, beautiful adventure to watch n relax for a few as I sit on a homeschool day off, baby napping & big kids in a blow up pool and trampoline in North Florida. Living a different kinda season of adventure🤪😎😍.
I believe the brass nut is for electrical. It's used to tie larger wires together. For example, when you have a ground rod you would use that nut to connect a copper wire to the ground
I think my fresh fish experience might top yours. We use to go out 100 to 180 miles out in the Gulf from Gulf Shores Alabama and Tuna fish near the oil rigs. We would take a smaller tuna around 10 lbs and cook him up within minutes of being caught. It was truly a delicacy
Great work on the fish catch. And man, that taco looked delicious. Sad we didn’t get to see “Soshee” (I know that’s the incorrect spelling….but I have no idea), as she was so animated and I enjoyed listening to her on the previous episode you were there. Great work, I so very much enjoy your vids. Rob, Tasmania, Australia 🇦🇺
When you were on that beyond narrow road, I was wishing there was someone to tell me when I could look at the screen again and start breathing again! I had to keep peeking through my fingers! Terrifying and I would probably hyper-ventilate if I had to travel on that road. But I really enjoyed the rest of the trip!
We love fishing. When you net a fish…get it in the net and then turn your net sideways. We broke our net pulling in a king salmon on our first fishing trip. If you turn your net sideways…it traps the fish and puts less stress on your ring and handle. Just a kind suggestion. We love what you do!!! Keep doing exactly that!!! Cheers!
I'd like to take you up to the Monte Cristo Ghost town site when enough of the snow is gone here in Washington State. And a hike up Lime Kiln Trail that is part of the old Railroad that went between Monte Cristo and Everett. One of the kilns is still standing next to the trail. It cooked lime stone for the Everett pulp mill.
I haven't been detecting for years now. I really should dig out my old White. At least I'll remember my jeans. Nice fish and I like the knife. Congrats on getting a podcast going, best of luck, I hope it goes far. Keep smiling. 😁
I absolutely love making different style salsa. Watching you cut that tomato it was quite obvious how great it must taste and how bad are veggies are here in the states. ): another case of being blessed outside of technology. The dams must come down if we ever expect to eat healthy again. It will probably take a cataclysm which is extremely sad. The ancient wisdom says do not block the waters.
I spent Easter on year at Bahia Kino. (East side of the Sea of Cortez) Dustin is definitely not exagerating about how hard these wonderful people can party!
@@Destination_Adventure It was so crazy! Like 10,000 people that partied all night like they all knew each other. And they were kind to this obviously gringo visitor.
The cartridge casing looks like an old school revolver or repeater round, I'd wager a .44-40 cartridge or one of its smaller relatives, a 38-40 or a 32-20. Its definitely old given the rim design. Winchester repeaters were used by Mexicans as well as the Americans (the Mexicans also had their own version called the Tigre), so potentially someone doing some shooting with one way back in the day?
Hey Dustin what's the significance of the tree tattoo on ya arm ? Looks awesome. As usual many a prick in the desert areas! I know I backed up on one and another stabbed me in my butt in Arizona. Love that ya did some metal detecting!
OK Dustin, I freely volunteer my services as chief taste tester - Free to yourself, whenever you need something really testing - just let me know!! :P hehe
Sorry I won't get to watch your first guest on your pod cast. I don't do electronic money. I knew you'd drive back to that little gal, I knew it. Boy, don't break her heart, she's a sweety for sure and she sure likes "you". FYI, it snowed on the Okanogan today.
@@Destination_Adventure Tell her an old "horseman" thinks she's pretty awesome. I really enjoy your adventures. I've had more than my share in my day. "Woulda, coulda, shoulda don't add up to 1 did, right?(lol)
Thank you! so fun to watch...Thank you for no expletives but be careful about using Gods name. I love the "don't get stolen" Be careful....we're pulling for your success!
The word god is a generic word that far predates Judaism and Christianity. Even the Bible with the first commandment, "Thou shalt not have other gods before me." Meaning you can adore all gods but have the one above them all. Reality is all humans who have a soul has the divine spark meaning we are all part god, including the evil. Isaiah 45:7 I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the Lord do all these things. I became an atheist after reading the Bible because I have more morals and empathy than that evil ego driven demiurge who is actually the devil or Yaldaboath according to ancient texts of the original Christianity before Rome perverted it making it the religion of all through military force.
And by the way in Matthew 16:26 Jesus said “Truly I tell you, some who are standing here will not taste death before they see the Son of Man coming in his kingdom.” My question to you is, where are all the 2,000+ year old people? There aren't any. Either the whole thing is a man made lie, or everything is all said and done and we are just leftovers.
fyi you are not far from the ocean what soooo ever....,back when that part of the world leading ALL the way through the U.S to Canada was all an ocean...,i.e not that suprising at all
I love fishing! just hate eating it. AVOCADO & fish 🤢🤮 no thanks I shall pass. But my mouth is watering for the rest. Hope you are enjoying your time down yonder! When you heading back?
If you’re keeping everyone a patron. Well I’m. It getting any taste of it. So I’m not paying to play I don’t pay for anything. Take a look at Kendall Rae, several podcasts, she herself has over 3 million subscribers. You need to be more open. I guess that’s why I didn’t come back for over a year You’re not that special that you need to have people paying.
