I have yet to find a nugget over a gram. Biggest piece I've found was just over a half gram. I've also done a lot of research on where to look. It's out there. Good luck and heavy pans!
Some people tie their snuffer off to their body somewhere. Water wasn't fast enough for me to have to do that. A few egg weights in the snuffer keeps it from floating away. Heavy pans!
You’ve probably got a couple grand in gear(sluice, wet suit, detector, etc)? Looks like fun, but must be near impossible to make any headway with just a shovel and pan. Was the water crazy cold?
You start with a shovel and pan and then let the gold you find pay for better equipment to find more Gold. If you find the right creek or river, it can be profitable. Water is just cold enough to need a wetsuit but not crazy cold.
Yes. If that's the way you see it. I see it as being outside in a beautiful place doing something we love, treasure hunting. It's a hobby not a living. Thanks for watching and heavy pans.
I believe that was a North American fisher spider. They get pretty big, but are actually pretty friendly so I'm told? I'm not trying to find out! Lol! Could you tell me whether you are using a fairly long snorkel or some sort of fresh air supply/compressor? You were going pretty deep in some of those shots? Just curious... Asking for a friend! Lol Great video.
I was using a regular snorkel. I wasn't in deep water, it was around 2 1/2ft deep. I'm not too fond of spiders so I keep my distance. Thanks for watching and heavy pans!
Great video. Good picture quality. Awesome results. So where might that creek be located?🤣JK It's encouraging to see there is still decent gold to be found in North Georgia area. Thanks👍 I subscribed
Great day indeed! I highly enjoyed your video! Keep them coming. I'm in N. Georgia myself, Oakwood. Haven't been out yet this year, but hopefully soon. I feel a fever coming on.
my inlaws live in woodstock and my kids and i would love to snorkel and crevice for gold next time we're down there. Do you know if they allow you to snipe/crevice on corps of engineers land? I've never looked for gold before but from looking at maps and access points it seems like blankets creek might be decent? but I don't know if that would be too picked over or if i'd get in trouble for bringing a rock hammer in there.
It's pan and shovel only on Corp property. I would think sniping bedrock would be ok, just can't use and power tools or metal detectors. Blankets has gold in it for sure.
In the state of Georgia, you are not allowed to use sluice boxes unless it’s your land you are only allowed to use a shovel and a pan and you’re only allowed to dig in the creek bottom not up on the banks
. Your reveals are terrible. There is no need to tap the pan while you draw back the material…. You can do that after you reveal the gold to move it up the pan
