Metal Dude *Musician (REACTION) - JINJER - Who Is Gonna Be The One (Live) & (live bass play through) 

This song is basically a call to stand up and fight back against environmental pollution. The song is from the album "Cloud Factory", which was named to describe all the smoke clouds coming from all the industrial plants and factories. Pollution, corruption and greed are central themes to the album. The line "Who will recognize his mother's face, without the protective mask that she wears" is eluding to a future where everyone will need to wear masks because the air is no longer safe to breathe. Basically, asking if we will even remember what people's actual faces look like, since we will always be wearing masks. And, the second line of the first verse is actually "Who's gonna keep on counting? Here's another disease" meaning there will be so many new diseases, who's gonna bother to even keep counting them all. At least, that's what I get from it.

Thank you for another great double-feature! Everything about this live performance is better that the studio track, right down to the feedback! This is definitely a protest song. The main injustice being called out is pollution. I think the repetitiveness is intentional, like protest chants. I think the reggae feel of the outro is a hat-tip to Bob Marley, who's obviously well known for protest songs.

Perhaps the pre-eminent example of "Jinjer jazz" - not a traditional jazz sound, but distinctly incorporating elements of jazz - in a complex, unconventional, multi-movement musical melee is the song "Ape". It's 3 1/2 minutes broken out into 8 highly distinctive movements with incredible transitions. Very heavy, very eclectic. It took me some time to enjoy it, but now it's one of my favourites from Jinjer. "Ape" is worth a double-feature or even a triple-feature. The official music video is very cool and a must-see, there's an excellent official live (one-shot live from Mystic Festival), and then there's a wild bass playthrough (just Eugene sitting on a stool tearing it up). There's also an excellent drum playthrough, but I recommend a triple-feature with the 3 videos OMV, live & bass playthrough, and if you need to cut one of the 3, please cut the live.

This is an older song, from their first full album, 2014's Cloud Factory. They were still a 5 piece then, and Yevhen Mantulin on drums, their 3rd drummer (Vlad is the 5th). The main theme of the album, and this song, is protest against greed and pollution. LOL. Was waiting for your reaction to the Reggae feel. Tatiana is a Reggae fan, she is always up for more, and trying to get the guys to write it. For more Reggae feel, another reason to check out "Judgement(and Punishment)" 😁 , the Tatiana vocal one take video or music video.

"Metal is not dead" You got that right! Alice Cooper said recently . Rock and Metal is not lost.. It's just back where it belongs. We are the underground...The rebels,and being in the shadows will only make it pure and good again. Popular music always sucks because talent-less idiots jump on the bandwagon. Now we will see people with great talent and music because there's no money to be had. Now Rock and metal stars will be there because they love this kind of music. Personally I feel no difference..LONG LIVE ROCK...BE DEAD OR ALIVE!

Billboard chart success is driven by marketing $$$. Metal doesn't have that, and that's a blessing. Without that the metal audience has fragmented into countless niche subgenres that appeal precisely to small audiences instead of being goid enough for everyone in a mass audience. That's good for fans because they get the perfect band for them. And it's good for musicians because more musicians can make a living doing what they love instead of a few becoming huge and corrupted by wealth and the demands of the publishers that fund their success.

I love how she gets up on the road case and yells to the crowd like she's 15 and just got her phone taken away and then you hear that growl. This was done at a small festival in Kyiv Ukraine. Funny thing about that road case. I think Tatiana used that road case for that for quite a while until she graduated to a proper stage platform. The first ones were fairly small but last one I saw her using was huge.

O.K. rock & roll man this is my first visit to your channel. Sir you have selected a Jim-dandy of a video. I think this band and singer are the BEST thing to ever come out if the former U.S.S.R.!!! Tatiana is a powerhouse!! Plus she is easy to watch.. Real easy and pleasant to look at! Plus English is a second language for her. She taught herself how to do this growl.. The three dudes just bang away!!! The first part is her getting warmed UP. Then she dances a little jig for us. DAMN!!!! This would be a great concert to attend... They have performed at Wacken!! IMO, the best Jinjer guitar playthrough songs are: 1. "Captain Clock". Live at Hellfest 2018 is a must-see as well for Tati's performance, but the instrumental sound quality isn't the best, so you need to hear the studio track for a full appreciation of the song. The guitar playthrough is aaccompanied by the instrumental tracks, so that could serve, but there's also a cool lyric video which has the full studio track, including vocals. 2. "I Speak Astronomy". I know you already reacted to a live version, but the OMV is excellent if you want to include Tat's vocals and some cool visuals. 3. "Pit of Consciousness". The main features of the 1st 2 recommendations are wild rhythms and great riffage, the main feature of this one is the stunning mass of creative riffs. I know you reacted to Live in Kiev - in this case, the official music video is also very cool if you want some vocals. 4. "A Plus or a Minus". IMO, the feature here is the guitar composition, which I really, really enjoy. There's a decent official lyric video for vocals (excellent!) & lyrics (philosophical!).

Even though you’ve already done “Pit of Consciousness”, Roman’s guitar playthrough is so amazing to watch, even if you do it in your own time and don’t want to make a video of it (although I’d love to see you watch it haha). But again, really digging the double feature. Subbed 🤘🏻

Great reaction Bill! This was basically a protest song about pollution and greed. Virtually their only repetitive song. but also one of their heaviest and most intense! As suggested elsewhere here, if you want to hear another rock/reggae fusion kind of song, react to Judgement (And Punishment). But I suggest you check out the OMV first, as it actually tells a story in the video. And then do Tatiana's One Take Version which isolates her voice and puts it up front. Most suggest the One Take first, but I feel that you can appreciate the whole picture first before isolating the vocals. By the way, I consider Eugene as one of the top 5 metal bass players today, although if you listen to him, he isn't that great (he is very humble).

Now you're speaking my language! My brotha from anotha mutha. This is one of my favorites. I love the exuberant performance. The guitar tone at the beginning is one of my favorite tones ever. So aggressive. Eugene often gets this kind of throaty grind on bass. Lots of midrange character. His playing sometimes reminds me of Ryan Martinie of Mudvayne, with the right thumb anchored on the top edge of the fretboard and the fingers striking down. A bit like John Entwistle. You'll often find tape or other muting method across the nut of players who do a lot of tapping. It helps to muffle unwanted overtones and ringing open strings. Some guys use a sweatband. Stanley Jordan was the first guy I saw doing it, on guitar. Oh btw, still subscribed. No issues.
