Man, I've been watching your videos for a few years now. Took some community college welding classes (didn't complete a certification though), got my first welding job in structural inside a shop, started on the paint skids outside cleaning HHS's and i-beams with acetone in summertime, got certified in dual-shield Flux-cored, became the BEST welder in the shop within a year (big shop, one of the biggest structural steel shops in the California east-bay area), after 3 years I switched gears and began working for a train manufacturer, got certified in mig doing stainless and mild. And within the last 2 years, I've become the best mig welder in the new shop, second son was born, got my wife pregnant with a 3rd boy, bought a house, got promoted into management, and now I'm trying to set up my garage for some TIG practice. Your channel, sir, is a big part of why I got into welding in the first place. Now I'm nearing 30 years old, with a 3rd son on the way, and my career has only been improving all the way through this "pandemic". I really hope you see this comment, as I was looking up ideas for building a welding table and came across this video of yours from 11 years ago! Glad to see you started out with a harbor freight table too hahaha. That's the first one I bought. It's good enough for light tig and mig, and just holding stuff in place. Just can't get it too hot in one spot hahaha

Jody, First, thanks for your site and your videos. They are awesome and have helped me a lot. You keep mentioning the tooling package that came with your table. My wife bought me the table for Christmas (YES SHE IS AWESOME!!!) and I want to get the tooling. Can you tell if there is a specific package or did you specify certain tools you wanted? Thanks, rvb

@locojeff Very true. The BuildPro is a bargain when compared to the competitors. Similar tables and tooling from other companies cost about 4-5 times what the BuildPro does. Despite that fact, there are still companies that purchase multiple tables because of advantage that modular fixturing can provide. The stuff from BuildPro isn't quite as nice as the competition, but it's a MUCH better value. Welding skill will make more of a difference than the difference in quality between tables.

the 30' is over 3 grand on amazon. the three axis clamp $400. not sure how much the tooling packages would bump it up!

What material these individual plates you're holding at 2:02 - 2:30 are made from, steel or aluminum?

Hello, I'm interested in these welding table, and i write to enquire if someone that has already purchased one of them can answer a set of simple questions to help me: The questions are mostly about: Packaging and shipping. The handling of the table in the process of assembly. 1- Will the welding table arrive in only one box or will arrive in separate boxes.? 2- What material are the boxes, metal, wood, or paperboard? 3- Will the table arrive: already assembly or to be assembly (dissarmed)? 4- Will each individual plate arrive already mounted and screwed to the black piece (the tabletop base) 5- If the table arrives dismantled or dissarmed. Are the pieces easy to handling manually beetween 1 or 2 persons, (i ask becouse of the weight) or the use of a trolley with wheels or pulley system, is a necessity? Thank you so much for your help I really appreciate it Best regards.

The only thing about these tables are the measurements. They spec out at less than full feet in some instances and more on others. Odd measurements like 46x78. Less than four feet but longer than six feet? They do not have a true 4x8 table at least in the slotted tables.. If you do larger things like tables, frames etc. You will need their biggest table which is 5x10 and not a slotted table.

I can already think of ways this would make certain jobs a lot easier. Id just be too afraid of the other shifts not being very accurate with hammers and grinders around it :(

Is that frame stiff enough that you don't need to use a precision level to level off the table? looks like its build for WW3

I'm guessing you don't understand that the surface that the table sitting on isn't necessarily level

It’s a shame Strong Hand & Build Pro tables don’t come with a starter kit for their tables. If you want fixtures they’re $603 for the bare minimum. When I talked to the sales person advised I was ordering 48” X 98” table. I asked the sales person what fixtures it came with. The reply, “No fixture.” You order a table from them, throw a sheet over and you’ve got yourself one hell f a dinning room table. With fixtures these tables are like tits on a bull.......worthless. I ended up going with another company an I was extremely pleased with the customer service.
