Actually they confirmed that you can choose to change the lighting and color of the game if you want it like the original game and its a nice option to have for Mgs3 Delta!
I've been a fan of Metal Gear Solid since 1999 and I'm really excited about this game. I found my ps2 and Metal Gear Solids on it. I have the special versions too. Subsistence and substance or whatever they were. I've lost the ps3 Collection and Metal Gear Solid 4 and it sucks..
Some fans can't let go of Konami letting go of Kojima so everything Konami makes will instantly be hated, they are letting personal feelings get in the way
If they do MGO Delta, I'd hope that there are servers that make you play either Legacy or Modern control schemes, or even pick between both. That way you can basically get a crazy upscaled MGO1 playstyle and a blended MGO2 + MGO3 playstyle. Even a couple of us heard the OG MGO theme in the SaveMGO discord and that an interesting touch.
@@papasnejk87 That's fair, MGO1's control scheme is a bit of an odd one but I grew to love it. (Stockholm Syndrome? XD) But I still hope hosts get to choose between Legacy/Modern/Both control schemes for each game.
I’ve been really wondering what they’ll do for the healing menu. The original menu was a bit clunky having to pause everytime you wanted to heal. But I don’t know how else they could do it
I'm really happy Konami is giving us this long-awaited remake. The next thing I think we fans should respectfully ask them for is to finish MGSV with David Hayter at least voicing Big Boss.
First I said to myself "his avatar looks like an MGO character". Then seeing your name and hearing you mention it, it all came together. We used to play MGO together years ago....my name on there was WarlocK7.
They will have an option for the yellow filter available but it’s so bad. Everyone on the metal gear Reddit has been clowning on screenshots of it calling it the “piss filter” It’s like POV you’re in the locker as otacon scared for his life sitting in a puddle of urine….. that’s what it feels like to look at. Hal emmerich, creator of metal gear Rex and the piss filter.. amazing achievements truely. He really came thru when he brought us this one ☝️ 😂😂😂 nah im clowning lol if you know the story you’ll get it. But this game seriously looks amazing… just not feeling the peepee vision 😂 The new graphics change the way it looks completely the shadows and resolution just doesn’t mesh well with the yellow tone
F**k the old piss filter. I remember playin this game as a kid and wondering if this was done by design or the engine was so flawed that the colors were bleeding yellow. It was ugly. You'd have to be one nostalgic fool to like that piss.
I believe this game is gonna succeed and revive the franchise. I was unhappy about Konami letting Kojima go to, but thats in the past. its time to let go and move forward. look for something positive to find not something negative!
About the MGO song, that was a good pickup, but in my opinion if Konami was making an MGO, that would have shown us by now. We're living in the lazy era gaming-wise. Look at Uncharted 4 on PC. No online mode. TLOU remake; also no online mode.
Yeah but we dont even have a release date yet. And its normal for the online to not be ready at launch, mgo3 wasnt ready by the time mgsv released and it came out later
@@sgr_sean Oh, yeah, that reminds me of the good old days when we bought MGS4 and got to play online right away. In all fairness, MGS3 Subsistance (with MGO) came out 1 year after Snake Eater.
I truly hope that they expand upon the game zones after faithfully recreating them 1:1, so that the player has access to areas that were inaccessible on the PS2 due to its limitations.
Theres a few sections that could easily be expanded that wouldnt hurt the game much but part of me doubts they will do it, so far everything shown has been 1 to 1
Please don't misunderstand me, I'm really not trying to be a downer, but I'm genuinely wondering if anyone else thinks that the rolling and shimmying animations look pretty janky. The first time I've seen the trailer, those two scenes stood out immensely and gave off that fan-made Unreal Engine animations impression. As mentioned in the video, Snake specifically grabbing individual planks could indeed be the reason why the shimmying animation looks so stiff to me, but overall, I would almost say that the full body movement looks more fluid and natural in the original and I don't think this necessarily has to do with lower framerate, though it certain doesn't help. And frankly, I don't think these animations are a work in progress at this point. Overall though, apart from certain face models looking quite off (maybe because I'm so used to the original), the game looks stunning. Also, I fully agree with you regarding the running animation. I mentioned elsewhere how even for infiltration/sneaking purposes, the MGSV running animation always came across way too relaxed; let alone for an action scenario, such as evading a helicopter shooting missiles at you.
In a stealth action game, I don’t really see much of a need to focus on heavy combat with a chopper. Now, if a certain game (MG1 or 2) were remade, yes please get the combat right. For the purposes of MGS3, the mi-24A just hovering and firing missiles is sufficient-considering you SHOULD be sneaking thru that entire area. Just my opinion-no facts.
@@TacticsTechniquesandProcedures I should say that my point did not specifically revolve around heavy combat with a helicopter. This is why I tried to be very specific with my wording. I said that _even_ for infiltration/sneaking purposes (which is the primary focus) the MGSV running animation looks too out of place. His body language is similar to that of a person casually running on the beach and enjoying the scenery. Sure, ideally, one goes through the game without getting spotted, but I don't think that should be a reason to minimize the importance of certain animations or other aspects in general, especially considering the level of easily missable details in previous Metal Gear entries. In the original, the running animation gave off a sense of urgency, which does, in my opinion, fit well even within the stealth context; i.e. advancing from one point of cover to another just before the nearby sentry turns around and spots you. The reason I brought up evading the helicopter in particular is because this just happens to be the only scene where we saw this running animation and it looks particularly jarring within that context. To put it simply, what I was trying to say is that this particular running animation, in my opinion, does not look appropriate for any possible situation or play-style in a stealth-action video game and that an animation that more resembles the one from the original game would fix that issue. I hope that clears up any miscommunication on my part. Thanks for the reply and giving your opinion.
What about the multiplayer?!? Original MGO was/is (as it was revived a few years ago and you can still play it) unplayable because of the controls!!! Any updates on that?
If Konami really cares about their fanbase, they’ll reignite mgo with them porting the same kind of structural gameplay elements but also incorporating the new gameplay mechanics similar to mgsv!
It’s crazy how Konami owns the IP but they just can’t do anything else except remake older titles. There’s no way they can successfully do anything original without Kojima.
Well i feel with this, the team is also trying to show they have what it takes too continue the franchise by showing they can recreate the games faithfully They wont be able todo 1 to 1 remakes of all the games anyway. Some will need to be re interpreted since the style of the games wouldnt translate too well if they just modernized the controls and camera and thats it.
@@sgr_sean RE2 remake will always be my go to example of successfully expanding on a game without needing to change it. Devs don’t necessarily need to reinterpret a past game in order to deliver something fresh. That’s how we got Twin Snakes. And don’t get me wrong, I liked Twin Snakes. But it was way over the top for some.
Piss poor example, re2 remake completely ruined the b scenario, aswell as removed some enemies from the og, it felt wattered down from the og re2@@AstonishingRed
I think the enemy AI is the one that's not gonna be too great not only that I think if it was kojima he wouldve added something new too all of his games tend to be different than the other ect
As soon as I heard they will make the game in a of the shelf engine, I knew its BS. Before they had their own engine that was not used to its potential. I really do not understand why.
I never heard good things about the.fox engine from the devs themselves wether it be KJP or KJP LA it really seems the fox engine was more for kojima than anything else
@@mdev3987 i understand how that might come accross that way, especially with how many studios have switched to unreal. But unreal at this point is probably the most developed engine we got at the moment, far from cheap if you really look at how much work has gone into it. But its the people putting the tech into good use thats the problem. The engine is just as much of a tool as anything else when it comes to making games, and it needs a solid team to draw out its potential This all applied to the fox engine aswell and iirc mg survive was the teams attempt at trying to make the engine work but from what we see now something had to happen for them to switch.
Like some commenters have said: a 1:1 remake is what they wanted. But I do partly agree with you. And just because the majority wants or likes something, that doesn't automatically mean it's good. Aside from catching the attention of new generations of gamers, a 1:1 remake has no point for me. I've already played MGS3 multiple times, gotten every item and tried every playstyle. Why "remake" the game without actually *remaking* or retrying anything but instead copying everything? Except this time The Boss looks like a tired zombie instead of a stern but sad mentor. The remake will never live up to the original game, and gameplay or story-wise it barely adds anything either, except for switching between 'classic style' and MGS5-like controls. I still think the remake is a positive thing, but the fact that people are so extremely ecstatic about a copy of an old game (but with better graphics) is a sad reflection of today's gaming landscape.
