I'm still struggling with Olga. When she goes left, I can hardly manipulate her into going back behind the tarp without her immediately starting the cutscene. When she goes down (right side) I can't get the 4 heads hots down...
What 8 save points do you end up using for this run? Edit: for those wondering it was Save 1: start of Plant chapter Save 2: Fortune boss fight Save 3: Fatman boss fight Save 4: Harrier boss fight Save 5: Vamp boss fight Save 6: Start of Arsenal Gear Save 7: MG Ray boss fight Save 8: Solidus boss fight
does time spent on the "pause screen" count towards playtime in Metal Gear Solid 2? if not that will totally make it easier for me to follow onside your guide because i won't have to memorize it before playing. it's alright if you don't know.. some say it does contribute to time, others say it does not.
Interesting, in this version on MGS2, they remove collected all dog tags, means complete the game million times on every difficulty, also remove complete all VR missions, witch is hard AF. But, they add to get a Big Boss rank witch is not in the HD Collection. I don't know what is worse. Big Boss rank or complete, collect all Tags VR missions 😭😂
@@jaredmartin7040 Maybe, bit you spend whole a less time to get it. To complete the VR. And collect tags you need like 10 hours only for those 2 at least
My advice? Try focusing on the sound of the Rays, and pay attention to all three. Especially when one of them gets on the platform. I remember dying a lot to them on Hard mode when trying to get the Dogtags for the Stealth Camo in the Plant Chapter, but on my recent playthrough on the Master Collection when doing so I made sure to pay close attention to what ALL three Rays were doing, and instead of going for the attack, dodged their attacks and waited for the right time to attack. That being when they are just starting theirs. It takes a lot of patience but it can be done without even taking damage from them.
@@Xxandrew01 Best strategy for me and the one which never fails is start the fight by shooting all 3 Rays on the legs so that you may then shoot their open mouths consecutively then when the one in the middle jumps into the platform to start the boss fight proper proceed to stay near it while still keeping distance so that it may shoot it's "water laser" leaving itself open to a Stinger shot before repeating the same attack pattern all over again. As soon as its health is depleted inmediatly shoot the legs and mouths of the 2 Rays circling the platform while dodging their missile attacks when necessary BEFORE either one jumps in to replace the one who left so that you may have an easier time defeating them should either make it into platform and continue the fight. As long as you keep shooting the Rays outside the "arena" while constantly keeping yourself at a distance of the one standing on the platform so that it triggers its water laser you should have the advantage by constantly depleting all active Rays's health at a cheetah's pace giving them little time to overwhelm you through their missile and machine gun attacks.
Alert do not count till they call it in. This will allow for easier navigation through out the game. As you will have the chance to adjust and take action when you get spotted. But if you play on Game over if discovered. It’s over when you get spotted. There is no room for adjustment or taking action.
Got question. If I start new game plus but I have STEALTH/BANDANA already unlocked from dog tags from lower difficulty does it voids the Big Boss rank and I have to start clear new game or just simply not to activate any of these two items?
So whats the point of the saves? If you void any of the requirements its not like you can just dashboard and reload, you'll need to start all over again. With RE4 Remake getting professional S+ requires completing the game in under 5 hours and 30 minutes, with no more then 15 saves, when you die and reload the save, it keeps all the time played (witch is bad,) but if you quit to the main menu first the time starts at when you saved, (witch is good) is there anything like that in this game?
Is it nornal that in the guards rush on the tanker one of the guards who attack from the distance advance abd hide along side the box Snake his hidding? This pretty much ruined my run
And I have an observation to share, there is the same kind of trophy in mgs1 , I played in hard, had a few continues eat few rations but yet I had the trophy ! Can it be transigeant for this trophy too ?
Only counts as an alert when they finish calling it in, and you hear the horn/siren going off. When you’re doing the sniper bit with Emma if the guards or cyphers spot her it also doesn’t count as an alert.
There's 3 mandatory alerts and I did think the 1st one was the Tanker guard rush but for some reason on the mission failed screen the first alert showed up only after the Emma sniping section
This is a speedrun guide, not simply a Big Boss trophy guide. Many of the strategies here are risky and require your effort to basically be picture perfect with this video, if you are not, you will find yourself triggering alert mode over and over, and wasting many hours in frustration. Find a more reliable guide. Appreciate the effort though.
