The 3DS version looks more jagged than the PS2 version thanks to lower rendering resolution, but at the same time looks sharper than the Vita and PS3 versions, wich seem to be using some blur filter. The PS2 version seems to be rendering more grass foliage than all the other versions?! It seems the camera angles are more zoomed in all the other versions, while in the original PS2 the camera looks farther away and seen from above.

playing it on ps3 AND 3ds rn. do not play it on the 3ds. melee is impossible. the camera is trash, less codecs, and overall more lag an crust

The PS2 version is the complete game because it has boss duel, Snake vs. Monkey, and Secret Theater.

The 3DS version is definitive mainly for Emulatiom but playing it on original hardware is not great. even on the New 3DS Models

I like the 3DS version more ,it implemented gameplay features from PW such as the crouch walking and the over the shoulder aiming , snakes models features some specular effects on skin and better shading , this game has the best 3D effects I've seen on the console , it's incredible what they did, its really immersive, also best played using headphones because this game has really good spatial audio . There are tons of changes and overhaul to gameplay specific to this version I like.

@@charizardoreo actually on the actual 3DS screen does not look half bad , the frame rate was not good on PS2 either, it is a Stealth game btw If you don't mind the 3D effect , CITRA emulator has a 60fps fix and high resolution textures along with a second analog support solution if you use a imported save with circle pad pro enabled

Fun Fact: When MGS3 was in development, it was actually going to be released for the PS3 at the time, but due to the long wait though for the system which was released in 2006, it ended up being released for the PS2 instead.

Initially, the game was supposed to be developed for the then-upcoming PlayStation 3, but due to the long wait for the console, the development was moved back for the PlayStation 2 instead

This game here is one of my favorite games in the Metal Gear series and I even have this game too for all of the systems that it was released for except for the 3DS though since I still don't have the 3DS version yet even though I have a 3DS.
