A lot of weird people say they are sick of those action 80s films which is why we may not see more of them , I really don’t get it man I mean look at the movies we are seeing today and compare it to some of those old movies
*"Snake, be careful moving ahead. The Predator is in those woods. You'll have to rely on your old friend stealth if you want to make it to where Sokolov is being kept."*
@@r0br33r Yeah? Then why is RU-vid suddenly filled with these "popular movie/game but as an 80's dark fantasy" videos? I, and everyone who make art, agree with you. It is not art. But the average consumer does not care.
@@GilgaMax305 Henry Cavil has the sort of rugged/masculine facial structure that fits well for how Big Boss' face is modeled. Also he's probably one of the few who would be in the correct age range for the character in MGS 3, and him being a huge fan of sci-fi/fantasy in general would be one of the few fans would probably trust with such a role. Obviously David Hayter's voice is the one we all know but I'm not sure about his physical abilities for such a role as we are talking about the sort of special ops super soldier that would give Capt. America a run for his money in hand-to-hand combat.
The fact that all of these images are all AI generated is insane. They look good for the most part, but at the same time everyone looks like they're made of plastic yet its spot on with the aesthetic of the 80s film era. Simply crazy!
Funny how Kurt Russell's character in Escape from New York, Snake Pliskin, was the inspiration for Snake in Metal Gear. Would have been awesome if Kurt Russell was the AI's source for Snake.
93 here i agree i wish i could feel what it used to feel like again your loved ones their full conscious self giving you undivided attention not some shell locked in a digital matrix
@@bengalboypaco3140 also few years ago we were able to speak and think whatever we wanted. internet and west had no censorship. we were free. movies, music, games and media were to entertain not indoctrinate. if you get any movie of 80s and remade today it would require censor anystuff they dont allow no more, include blcks, igbt girl power for diversity and all that. people should try to live as amish is so strange the elite just impose all that and the masses go accepting it like cattle
This looks like a forgotten action movie masterpiece that we all need to watch now, but sadly it does not exists and it hurts. Give me 80's aesthetics with modern sfx pls
Volgin would be definitely played by Dolph Lundgren and Naked Snake by Kurt Russell. Also, the Snake's fashion with eyepieces is brutal (they're studded directly onto skin around his eye socket!) and the monocle-shade covering his eye in the end is absolutely badass!
I love how The Boss looks like Charlize Theron and Naked Snake looked like a mixture of Pedro Pascal and Henry Cavil rather then Kurt Russell was the base for.
Robin Williams as The End was the perfect casting. Most people associate him with comedies, but he could do some serious acting when called for. The Snake Vs Boss combo was pretty well done.
Next up: Metal gear solid Portable ops as an 80s action film Metal gear Ac!d as an 80s psychological thriller action film Metal gear Ac!d 2 as an action thriller film Metal gear solid: ghost babel as an 80s action suspense film.
@@Gabriel-all Acid games are aight, but also might be the most overrated game in the series next to Portable Ops. I also think everyone praises PW when it's the weakest in the series (yes including MGSV)
@@Gabriel-all The first time playignt yes, but if you literally play your cards right, you'll be "FUGGING INVINCIBLE" dodging bullets exactly like fortune. That's exactly what her card ability activates.
I'm still curious about what Hideo Kojima would think of something like this, especially with this whole 1980s look. Would he find it appalling and an abomination like Hayao Miyazaki, or would he be this awesome. A.I has been a hot topic, especially in the art world.
How i imagine the roles of MGS 3 as 80's Action Movie: Kurt Russel - Snake/Big Boss Dolph Lundgren - Volgin Sharon Stone - The Boss Michelle Pfeiffer - Eva Richard Crenna - Colonel Campbell
I'm in my umpteenth playthrough right now - RetroAchievements makes enthusiast-level achievements available for MGS3: Subsistence on the latest nightly build of PCSX2, and I'm gonna get them all. Race ya? :P
That snake is scary close I hope Oscar Isaac can really pull it off also it's ironic considering it was the 80s type of action that inspired alot of metal gear so this is perfect
*+:* "We need an handsome actor with chad aesthetics to play this character from this video game adaptation" *-:* "A video game adaptation? I got you homie. Cavill, my ninja, what's up?!"
Now this fits. The others have been questionable, but Snake in the 80's is like cheese on a pizza. And from what I know, MG is quite cheesey, which will fit in well with the 80's cheese. Well done.
