worst is mgs4 because game looks like a joke. and loose more detalis. in mgs 3 could crush the grass and livestock was found in it . Game have many beatiful location , in mgs 4 u have desert and remake of mgs 1 .
MGS3 is more than a Bond game, Bond is only sneaking, whisky, mafia, sex, sex, whisky, sneaking, mafia, martini, sex, whisky, sex, sneaking, mafia, sex whisky, whisky, martini, beer, martini, sex. MGS3 is just different. The incredible story, the screenplay, how npc's were done (enemies act like actual persons, that's such an anti-war thing. Enemies are humans too), the way it combines the action with the anti-war message, it's just in a whole different level.q
im new to metal gear and i gotta say, is an amazing series, this game made me sad, cry, angry, joy and also made me rethink a lot of stuff about the world

The enviorment colision would be a mess, it's crap in V and would be a mess in a Fox engine remake. The MGS2 engine required much tweaking between 2 and Snake Eater.
Something's wrong with the intro scene of the HD Collection. As the screen "Kojima Production appears in the same time than the beginning of the music, it changes the initial rythme we had in the former version. What's the point ? Initially, when the voice says "but you're sooooo supreeeeeeeme", it shows the scene when Snake is sneaking behind the soldier, ready to kill him. It TOTALLY MATCHES. But now, in the HD collection, the music starts doesn't start anymore at the newspaper scene, but at the "konami presents" shit screen. It delays everything. Details, for the fuck sake, DETAILS.
+Tommy MERAT That's a really good observation. I couldn't exactly pin point it at first but I knew something was off. I watched the original and was like..yup little things like that ruin it.
You know, since he's no longer with Konami, I wanna see what a Kojima MOVIE would look like. Like, an actual movie, since that's what he originally wanted to do before game design.
Bought a PS2 only for this game 3 days ago, finished it, and now I'm crying once again. This is clearly the only game that ever made me feel like this !
One of my favorite games ever. I've played it over 20 times, it's a timeless masterpiece and will go down as one of the greatest games ever created. Thanks Kojima for this masterpiece.
The 6th generation had by far the best game openings. This, SSB Melee, Burnout 3, Sonic Adventure and many others from that era, the art of VG openings peaked right then and there and now we're lucky if we even get any mild brief opening at all in a game, let alone something of this caliber, ambition and budget.
MGS 1 holds a special place in my heart, since it is a first time I met Snake. But MGS 3 has to be the best of them all. Great music, epic boss fights, a lot of new mechanics and this intro. Easy 10/10.
the only thing that was the greatest challenge to snake was not; A dead guy, A guy who can control wasps (or some other insect), A pyromaniac, A creepy guy, An old, experienced, and badass sniper, A Electric general starting a coup de' at, A Spetsnaz commander, and A badass woman that trained the same snake to what he was now. It's LADDERS!!!
+Jamie77330 Thats the point. Snake Eater has a gigantic, throbbing hard-on for James Bond, and it all starts right here in the intro. It's magnificent.
when i was young i was living with my grandpa, every time i open the game he love to listen to this intro, he was alwas watching me play, i really miss him
What I like about the Boss over James Bond is that he's not nearly as cocky. The Boss (at least in MGS3) knows that every single enemy is a threat and takes them as a serious opponent, and this is obviously best shown in the final boss fight.
When I was young, I used to spend hours and hours in the beginning portions of games because I didn't know a lot of english yet so I couldn't progress very far, especially in a mechanically complex game like this. Did the same for Silent Hill, Final Fantasy VIII, and Syphon Filter. But I loved MGS3 so much, so I just kept messing around in the opening stages for weeks, trying to make progress however I could even though I sucked at stealth and would play very slowly because I was terrified of being seen. I will never forget when I finally got past the opening section, watched that incredible cutscene on the bridge feeling like I was halfway through the game of something, and then... the opening plays. I will never be able to explain what that did to my young mind.
Kojima really went balls deep with this one. An absolute legend in its own right. I had the privilege to play this during middle school when it first came out. I thank my boy Jesse for letting me borrow this game.
Death stranding was his only mediocre game really. MGSV had a bad story because Konami limited how much work he could do. But even then the gameplay is fantastic.
What I dislike about this opening is Naked Snake's character model. It is clearly an early build seen in old E3 footage before the game was released. He looks so much worse than he does in the actual game.
Ramzammer I don't think so, we knew it was set in the '60s for a long time before big details of the game came out. I think it was revealed in the first trailer.
Otaku Selfie lol don't listen to them and just play the games in the order they were released. The story won't be hard to follow and it's awesome getting to see how this fantastic series has evolved over the years...
The theme starts too early... it's not the video, it's in the HD edition intro. The original PS2 version has the horn intro during the moving headlines and then the vocals start when Kojima's credits appear.
This music gives me goosebumps every single time. I miss when Konami made great games. It's such a tragedy they treated Kojima so poorly and that he couldn't take the rights to Metal Gear and Silent Hill with him.
