+thewafflefriends He's the fourth Cobra you fight, and they always talk about the emotion they're named after: I always liked to be a smart ass at the point when he asks that question and say "Let me guess: happiness?"
Considering he is the very last Cobra, and he is perhaps the hardest because he can't fail his unit then, he really does make you feel the fury when you fail, name-sake.
themysteriousfigure0 Enitrely up to your subjective thinking, but trust me, he is extremley annoying on European Extreme because he is sensitive to hearing and seeing there. And his flames deal much more fucking damage, too.
I did a no kill Extreme run and died 3 times before killing him non lethally. Still it wasn't an overly difficult boss battle. The End took me about 2 days.
It just really turns the whole melody around, becomes softer and a lot more friendly, almost making you feel comfortable. This sorta thing is used a lot in MGS3 OST and massive credit to our man Norihiko Hibino for that
MaskedMenace830 Yeah, that was a lot of Fun Blasting him in the Back at point blank range. Good Times back on the PS2. I do have the HD Collection though, and strangely I've yet to play Peace Walker.
Probably the most difficult fight for me but damn is it fun. The tension is insane and the feeling when you finally get a shot in at him and he gets angry is amazing.
This was my favourite boss in the game. The thrill of the atmosphere, both in the visuals and the music, kept you going, even if you went through a bunch of deaths (if you didn't use one of the easy methods).
The battle scene was astonishing, and in my opinion, the reason why Fury seemed easy was because by the time you get to face him you've become a skilled player who knows his strategy. I found The End difficult at first because I am rather impatient. I changed my approach and after an hour of an epic stand off, I flawlessly defeated the end.
The only bosses I really had any problems with where Volgin and The Boss herself, mostly because they're timed fights. Keep in mind I never tried Extreme Mode
Also I finished him off by tackling him to the ground, which I just love the image of. Naked Snake, all ashen and singed just leaping at the fury as he turns the corner, screaming with rage as he smashes him into the floor, shattering his helmet like it is un the cutscene. That also made me really happy even though that's just a personal thing.
MrGrey321 i think i read this on the wiki but it said that when he was entering the earths atmosphere something bad happened and his whole body was burnt. Which gave him the ideology
That feeling when playing this on European Extreme, And this Cobra was the hardest for me. The End piece of cake just make sure you act fast if you get shot, The Pain pretty easy just dive and wait for the bees to go away, The Fear uhhh, Thermals up. The Fury was just..... hard because I couldn't get too close to him. but on all the other difficulties he's too easy.
Imagine fighting The Fury AND Captain Vladimir from NMH2 simultaneously. They're pretty similar (except Vladimir isn't a pyro) so imagine how epic that would be...
Only a few people already know this...but I used to workout to this song sometimes😅😅. Lol. High school-college years were super memorable. And what a classic game MSG3 was/is.
AAAAHHHH SON OF A BITCH!!! This was by far my favourite boss fight, followed by The Boss (CQC only of course) Thing about this ost also, was that it got louder whenever The Fury spotted you, So long as he doesn't see you, it's almost as you can't hear it All for the atmosphere!!! Perfect!!
Luv the 60ish inspired instruments in this theme...very James Bondish. Also, reminds me of doing some grueling workout in humid heat in the late summer at 3 or 4 am...
I am The Fury. The flames of my rage will incinerate you. I came back from space. As I returned, I had one vision: The world set ablaze. And do you know what I saw there? *FURY!* A great and terrible fury at being alive. Now you're going to feel the scorching heat of that horrible blackness. *BURN!*
I had a little two shot nerf handgun and a nerf rifle with a clip and I was trying to shoot into this little nerf bag target everytime the loud "BAM!" Noise played. Super fun, I love to reload during a battle, it was super stressful guessing when I had to shoot and when it was actually safe to reload.
GOD I LOVED THE FURY! I was actually getting a little bored up to him. The normal mooks posed no threat whatsoever and I beat young ocelot, the pain, the fear, and the end each on my first try. Not only that, I beat the pain and the fear non lethally without taking ANY damage, and beat the end with out ever losing more than half my stamina using only huspuppy (and one m1911 shot to kill his bird), all on my first run through! I was really disappointed that this was the so called cobra unit, when ocelot gave me more trouble than all of them... Then the fury came along. His fight was thematic, he was intimidating rather than goofy, and best of all he was a challenge for me! I died five time before eating him with nagant and hushpuppy, and it really felt like a worthy victory over a great opponent, really won me back into liking the game. Oh yeah, and this theme is great!
I haven't played this game yet, but the Fury is already my favorite Cobra! I just like the whole spaceman vibe he has, and his boss theme is also catchy!
@@jahjr92aka187 Truth is, I actually have the HD Collection for this, Sons of Liberty, and Peace Walker. Played/beat Liberty, only got so far in Walker, and now wanna try Snake Eater.
After the first 5 or 6 deaths by the fury (I was using The End's sniper rifle) I finally beat him on normal difficulty. Always kill him with tranquilizers and rolls the first time to get his fire resistant camo, and if he somehow gets close and you are not yet dead, barrel role into him then run the hell away. This is the kind of fight that is won through lots of trial and error. I must admit though, this was a very fun fight with the music and all.
This boss was what originally made me stop playing this game a couple of years ago, but I'm happy to say I finally beat him on Hard mode tonight without using the box strategy! He was a real pain, and I swear he just becomes omniscient and knows exactly where you are at all times after a certain point, but even with that he's quickly become probably my favorite boss in this game (so far, haven't finished the game yet so we'll see).
There are two types of people in this world. The ones that have a hard time with The End, and ones that have the hard time with The Fury. I am the latter
The Fury just seamed so out of nowhere for me. Like I had no idea who was or where he even came from when he appeared because he is never shown off anywhere else or mentioned by anyone else.
pyrotech8285 Indeed, the only time you can see Fury, was in the Helicopter right after they capture sokolov and the boss breaks Johns arm. Right besides End.
