should've been a second act where you played as the original Big Boss, during the time he operated in secret culminating in a scenario in which he was forced to work with Zero. A situation where say BB want to hunt down Zero, Zero reveals he knew of the deception and can eliminate everything once more forcing BBs hand but then in secret he meets with Venom, the two agreeing to work to subvert Zero leading into a set up to something like this.

MGSV ended the way Kojima wanted it. The story is meant to be left for interpretation. Just because it doesn't have the ending that you personally would have preferred...doesn't make the ending of MGSV a "not proper ending".

But the mirror scene ended with him going to fight Solid. Remember at the beginning of MHSV it says something like “just another day. Outer Heaven” and the cassette starts He accepts the truth that he is Big Boss too. Notice before the mirror smash the door says Diamond Dogs but after it says Outer Heaven. And you can hear gunfire in the distance

No it's not. This is the Ending to Metal Gear 1. MGSV Ending is meant to be opening ended because it's a prequel. I can't believe I have to go around explaining this to people.

If by open ended you mean terrible, then yes. I like open ended and ambiguous denouements, but the ending to MGSV was handled really badly. It managed to void the game's original selling point of being a revenge tale, as you weren't actually getting revenge as the person you thought you were, and it didn't work as a twist because it literally comes from nothing. The final mission just kinda shows up. That's not how you end a game. If it actually built to something and actually ended, then that would be nice. That's how this is a better ending. It gives closure, instead of being blase and uneventful.

No, it's not "terrible"; however, your understanding of is. By Open-ended I meant that it's meant to be a bridge between GZ and Metal Gear 1. You see MGSV is meant to be an interpretational story over being a traditional story; mainly like the movie 2001: A Space Odyssey....It only give you enough information to answer your own questions rather than giving you straight answers...but it this day and age if a story doesn't explain everything in detail it's deemed "Badly" written. (And yes, Kojima did say in a Ground Zeroes interview that he was inspired by 2001: A Space Odyssey While working on the game). I don't care if the game voided the original selling point, like what? You wanted to Kojima to reveal the entire story with the trailers? Sorry if you can't handle Kojima's style of storytelling, but with him you can't just assume what you see in the trailers is what you get in the game; Unless you're a newb to the series...I say you should know better...Kojima has always done things like this since MGS2. Art is not a product for your consumption, so you have to get over the fact the story in MGSV wasn't as it was advertised, It's called story presentation. Venom not being the real Big Boss doesn't in any way shape or form make the ending and story "badly" written from an objective point of view. The final mission might have came out of nowhere in gameplay; but since this is an interpretational story...people thought of an explanation of what happened and some theorized what happened is the truth mission is in Venom's head and that chapter 2 has been building up for Venom's awakening from the hypnosis with Paz flashbacks due to what happened in Shining Lights Even in Death being a trigger for the awakening). Like seriously, why not come up with a real interpretation of the whole story and ending rather than complain about aesthetics?

Why did both the real snake and the fake snake wake up at the same time and place? Why would they keep both of them in the same hospital that's being attacked by people who kill indiscriminately? Ocelot and Big Boss talked about it and the reason was to have the real Big Boss guiding Venom as Ishmael through the hospital to enforce the hypnotic suggestion; and the second reason is Big Boss was meant to escape the bike with the fake passport on that specific location in Cyprus.

Can't really blame Kojima for that one. Konami cut his budget and threaten to release the game as is complete or not

Both of you are getting emotional, Big Boss actually told Venom what's going to happen and went back to save venom before the place was destroyed. No body knows what happened to the real Venom after that. But Big Boss did not just drive venom into a wall, he told him the entire plan, after all. one of them has to stay and make sure that soldiers are no longer controlled by the governments and its none better than the man himself, who envisioned this from the beginning, the true big boss

Mugdha Mahdi Shams Solid Snake was given no dialogue during or immediately following the fight. To me, it's dehumanizes and antagonizes him.

Solid Snake was actually made for the very purpose of being an ultimate killing machine. A tool of war. He even admits in MGS1 being a cold killer. However his genes and the way he was born didn't stop him from eventually being a compassionate human. He did suffer from a "trauma" and PTSD for killing his "father".

Yeah, and Ocelot ends up being the true hero and frees the world from SoP lol.

Well, you can't really blame Solid for it, he didn't know the whole story of the "body double" thing (MGS4 is not included since it was Solidus's body that's the corpse.) And besides, even Solid Snake admits that he's a cold blooded killing machine, only conceptualized for war. He was still a rookie in MGS1, so he didn't even know that much at this point in time. But as the series goes along, he tried his best to change that, by forming Philanthropy. Venom Snake has cognitive dissonance, believing that he needs to be the "villain" for Big Boss's plan to continue. He strongly believed Big Boss,to the point that he's willing to sacrifice even his own identity for the cause. At the end of TPP, even if he realized he was a double, that can be thrown away if needed, he still believed, and can go as far as to be a villain. He was simply acting out of sheer loyalty to the "legendary soldier". If there's someone that was more dehumanized, that's the Big Boss. He actively hides nuclear weapons, willing to fight wars for profit, trained child soldiers, even go as far as defy even his own nation, all because of The Boss's will misinterpreted. All because he believed he knows The Boss more than anyone has. The only time he realized he was doing things wrong was when he died.
