Tried the new 4K mod and it works great. There’s a file to fix it on Steam Deck which also works great. PC version is now fixed thanks to mods.

@@kyleday5026RPCS3 (PS3) makes it easy to upscale graphics and is pretty user friendly though Xenia (360) could run better depending on your gpu but it’s harder to set up the resolution

@@gameskyjumper1721PlayStation is the on lot console that has no spec difference. PS5 and the PS5 slim are spec wise the same with different colors . The new Xbox all have improvements for next years refresh.

That would take a lot more effort than ppl think.specially when the logic in The older games games is differently synchronized with CPU GPU etc so that would actually take much longer to make like a remaster or remake

It is better than no access at all as these games are historically significant to preserve, but yea this was a bare minimum effort.

The problem is if you never watched this video, you probably would have enjoyed the games.

That would be pointless. Kojima already said ten years ago that MGSV would be his last Metal Gear game and even if more games were made to him it’s the end of the series.

Kojima has been saying that for nearly 20 years since the development of MGS4, stating that would be the last Metal Gear solid game, and yet we got peacewalker, metal gear solid rising (before it turned into revengence) and MGS5. On top of that. MGS5 wasn’t even a finished game. When it comes down to it, it’s all about Money and what your boss wants.

@@hyperbolicathletes He said with MGSV that he was closing the loop and therefore creating a complete saga. There isn’t anything left to do. Besides he wanted to hand the franchise over to other people. Also MGSV is finished. The cut mission was just dlc that was cancelled early in development. The content was cut voluntarily including the playable Battle Gear and Chico. Many other games like MGS2 and MGS4 have more cut content then MGSV. So if you’re going to call MGSV unfinished then by your logic most games in the franchise are unfinished.

My guess is the way they were designed the ps3/360's bandwidth couldn't do 1080p with their memory bandwidth. PS2 was a monster when compared to the resolution it was targeting. The developers of gran turismo said they actually had to cut the heat haze effects from the ps2 games because they couldnt be done at a higher resolution without causing issues on ps3.

This isn't a remaster though and never was advertised as such. GTA you are right though

TBF gtas remake was absolutely atrocious. This is just kinda lazy. Not terrible, but just not necessarily updated enough

The sad part is it can look better than the master collection version on original hardware too just by using an external scaler and component cables 😭
