You must spend every day pretending to act like you're falsely letting on that you aren't not unbetraying someone you don't not purport to allegedly not work for but actually do! How do you keep all this shit straight without having an aneurysm! Ocelot: Practice.
If we're gonna be honest, if Big Boss were to die early from some sort of devastating disaster or just of natural causes via a sickness or something, the medic probably would've been next in line for the title seeing as he's second to him in terms of ability, wouldn't be surprised if Venom even had any claim on Big Boss's will if he died before Venom did since he was one of the most trusted soldiers.
I always took it as Big Boss had a worried/nervous reaction to Kaz's suggestion. Because he felt Kaz is a bit too overconfident and optimistic at first, before explaining that it's won't be that simple.
Prince of Stealth venom snake dies in 1995 during the events of 'Operation Intrude N313' (i.e. the first metal gear game) look it up if you dont believe me. big boss is almost burned to death in 1999 during metal gear 2 but his body is kept in a nanomachine induced coma by the patriots. BB later dies in 2014 (mgs4)
Peace Walker, one of the greatest and most fun entry of the series. It told the story of previous events, and paved a path that leads up to the original MGS entries and makes sense to it all. It gave us CO-OP, multiplayer, funny weapons, and a lot more, including MSF itself. MSF's a business, a new kind of business.
Kaz is all like "I was cipher's mole, but I'm with you Snake!" Meanwhile Snake is probably thinking, "Fucking two-faced pile of shit, just like all the others. I'm dumping you as soon as I have an excuse." *Ground Zeroes happens, then 9 years of coma* Snake is like "Eyyyyyyy!" And Kaz is all, "Snake why did you abandon me!?? I've been so loyal! I'm totes helping Solid kill you now!"
W Muench Of course, when Kaz tells Boss to hear him out, he moves his mannerisms resemble Liquid Snake's and Kaz even describes Outer Haven and the War Economy that Liquid later on establishes through Ocelot.
Protocol Penguin Yes he does, Kaz turns on Big Boss in MG2, Liquid Snake is Kaz's doppelgänger, even Kaz talk about the events that happen in MGS4 about the war economy, then Ocelot becomes Liquid's doppelgänger and establishes Outer Haven.
@@Night_Dragon11 Ocelot didn't exactly become Liquid's doppelganger the same way Venom Snake did with Big Boss. They put Big Boss' memories in Venom Snake (somehow). Venom Snake himself didn't know who he really was until the very end of MGSV. Even though Venom and Boss are identical in both body and presumably in mind, they're not the same person. They're separate entities. In Ocelot and Liquid's case, they literally fuse together. After Ocelot put on Liquid's arm, in the beginning, Liquid would very occasionally take over Ocelot. But as time passed, both sentient minds and personalities fused together. Liquid Ocelot is quite literally both Liquid Snake and Ocelot, fused into one single entity.
Actually naked not solid. Solidnand liquid is a clone. And then venom. Lol haha. Thats why naked sent solid snake to outer heaven. To be captured by venom or be killed but the opposite happened. Solid snake killed venom snake. So solid and liquid fight. Then liquid died so at the end of mgs4 its just solid and naked snake. Naked snake is the real bigg boss. Geez. What pretentious fan
Still Big boss and Solidus snake are better most people that are living in our world today. They had values and honor unlike the scum humanity is today. The boss's will sucks bruh is so bad I can't believe Big boss wanted to follow her will. Still sad seeing kaz and Big boss not being together anymore and Solidus snake is left in dust and nobody talking about him.
Explains why Big Boss left or betrayed Miller during MGSV... If it's also true, he betrayed Boss 2 times already. Even Code Talker warned Venom of Miller.
If we look at the storyline, it was Kaz who started the events of Peace Walker, letting Paz and Zadornov in MSF, Kaz started the whole Outer Haven idea of a War Economy that Liquid Ocelot would later use, it's clever how he and Big Boss look like Liquid Snake and Solid Snake standing next to each other, Liquid would indeed be Kaz's doppelganger, then Ocelot becomes Liquid's doppelganger, in The Phantom Pain, Venom Snake rescues Kaz while the real Big Boss was likely rescuing Frank Jaeger who would become his most trusted Lieutenant instead of Kaz, Frank is later killed by Liquid (Kaz's doppelganger), while Ocelot kills the real Kaz earlier to enable Liquid to become Kaz's doppelganger, all doppelgangers are seen in The Phantom Pain.
I wish kaz had a more meaningful death. Unfair for him to die in MGS1. He was just assassinated and that’s really all we get. Kaz played the one of the biggest roles in the franchise
@@DavidJr0917 Kaz didn't want to go along with Zanzibarland, Ocelot told him the truth but to blindside him for Kaz to think it was Venom that went and took control of Foxhound instead of Big Boss when in reality it was Big Boss himself without the knowledge of Venom, and thus both Kaz, Venom and Solid Snake were fooled which led to Solid Snake's first mission and Kaz training Solid Snake, it was Kaz who went back to Cipher.
@@DavidJr0917 it makes perfect sense since Big Boss would not betray his good friend, Frank Jaeger and capture him, Venom Snake did likely to get back at the real Big Boss but the Outer Heaven uprising was just a front for the true nation Big Boss was building in Zanzibarland which Frank Jaeger was the second in command followed by Ocelot.
Thank you for pointing that out ! I always felt like kaz was being a drama queen at the end of MGSV, when he finds out about big boss's plan. He should be happy. He is still an integral part of Big boss plan of outer heaven, along with venom and ocelot. But i guess kaz wanted things to be his way or the higway.
Miller wasn't loyal, he was self serving, he sold out Big Boss here for bussiness, you can even tell that BB decided to part with him then and there, probably didn't right away to prevent a revolt within his forces. People followed Snake but Miller still held a considerable influence, probably after this when he contacted Ocelot and waited for Zero to make his retaliation. MsF was finished, no way the could compete against Ciphers resources. And BB best move was to strike with stealth. That is what he was readying for. After going into hiding Miller proved to be even more of a liability, how many missions did he "unknowingly" take on behalf of cipher, how many times did he defy Venom in front of the troops. Miller was becoming more unhinged, Shadow Moses simply provided the convinient excuse they needed to remove him from the board.
I've always respected Hayter's voice as Snake but its so weird hearing him come out of a leader like Big Boss in this moment. Hayter's voice for Snake worked for a tool of the mission and a one-man army. I think Kiefer's tone was the right one for a guy who leads and commands.
Kief was a perfect choice, what I was looking forward to was the sequel where it would have had Big Boss and Snake interacting with each other. I think Kojima was hoping to last until a Metal Gear MX retcon story telling.
Snake = action movie hero ---> fits Hayter since he just has to sound cool Big Boss after = Leader ---> fits Sutherland more since he sounds more charismatic
@Týr it's still a very drastic speech change after the previous big boss game but it can be excused as getting ten years older and being a avid cigar smoker
BB: "Can we survive long enough to see the 21st century?" Kaz: "I'm with you Boss! We'll see how it turns out... together!" Notice how Big Boss doesn't respond to Kaz here? He is already planning in his head of abandoning Kaz after being in contact with Cipher. Hence why Big Boss leaves Kaz in The Phantom Pain and gives his identity to his best soldier in order to take his place!
@@agnel47 it does. But we are so pissed about this, we dont really care about newcomers, it is not about making your experience better, not for warning or a just cause, just for revenge. We were deprived of an ending, denied of the history we built together and wanted to see. Every day, every night, i can feel the content cuttet, i can feel the story and the unfinished shit, the promises they made, the hopes we invested in years of love for this franchise, this phantom pain, you can feel it too right?
@@LuizFerrazLF I hope you're not serious, Metal Gear Solid V The Definitive Experience is by far the best Metal Gear in terms of everything though Guns of The Patriots' story is unrivaled but V is amazing because it has the Fox engine, the story is great even though I knew all along that Venom Snake isn't the real Big Boss.
I think this is the point where big boss stopped trusting kaz and just made his own plan of building outer haven. Cus we see in phantom pain he just went on his own route without telling kaz anything
I find it kind of strange how Kaz was so butt-hurt at the end of MGS 5. Sure, he was left out of the loop for the larger plan, but he wasn't necessarily betrayed or usurped. Honestly, I think he should be grateful. He survived a helicopter crash that nearly killed him, and he pretty much has the highest rank at Diamond Dogs only under BB and probably Ocelot. And tbh, Big Boss would have had every right to kill him right after explaining what he told him at 1:04.
Three years later, but it's not that he was hurt because he was left out, was more the idea behind of Outer Heaven ideology of all the opposite of Kaz's dream of war economy and the whole thing they were building with Big Boss, so he felt His dream was used and ditchet
Zero921000 Theres still the possibility of David Hayter returning if Kojima chooses to remake the two original metal gear games that predate the first MGS
I just really hope at the end of MGSV we get to see Big Boss talking to Snake: maybe before he receives his codename (remember, his birth name is David). I'd love to see Big Boss talking with a Snake who's using Hayter's voice as he receives his codename in FOXHOUND, but that's just me.
Yeah, Hayter kinda sucked on PW, but it wasn't his fault. They told him to sound like Old Snake, and obviously he had to make it a bit different from Big Boss and Snake. It's just sad that he got dumped just like that afterwards, like it's his fault (which isn't)
I don't think he really got dumped. If a future game is going to have Big Boss meet Solid Snake, they will each need to have their own voice. And we all know Hayter is snake.
***** By future game, you mean the original Metal Gear games( 1 & 2) but remakes. But Richard Doyle did such a good job as Big Boss in the graveyard scene of MGS4.
He did. But was Big Boss that old in Metal Gear 1? Additionally, I think he should sound a bit younger and sharper. Richard Doyle sounded like a father figure more than a nemesis.
If they destroyed your entire base and killed all your men, After that chop off your leg and arm and apart from that knowing Big boss leaves you with phantom. I would not be smiling and dancing belive me, He's just full of hatred of all the bull that has Happend to him.
I just realized that Big Boss’ question about “can we live to see the 21st century” turned out to be answered “no”. Because he “dies” on December 25th, 1999. Just a week before the 21st century.
+Baker Salahat Not really.. Bigboss is already established! If not then probably but I would prefer david or doyle. Since MGS3 is already made and peace walker, it is reasonable to bring david back.
+Baker Salahat so solid snake became big boss? and didn't Peace Walker come Before Snake Eater so how does he still have the eye patch.(started playing since Snake Eater that's y)
Im mad with mgs4, Boss at the end talking about Ocelot, the Patriots, Naomi, Even Liquid and the boss. But why since mgs1 is Miller not named or something? He's the third or second most important character in MG HISTORY.
cause he's a traitor fuck that used big boss many times and then was his "son" mentor to fuck him over but liquid killed, and i think they also sort of forgot him at one point or big boss didn't want to mention him due to their past
Miller got his role in MG saga after Peace Walker. Before PW he was mentioned only in MGS1. That is why he wasn`t mentioned in any MGS game before PW but MGS1
Miller was already in Portable ops. That's where they first met and also Campbell. The game is even before mgs4. The reason why Miller became irrelevant after his death is probably because he left the whole business after going back to foxhound. After MGS GZ his whole purpose was always revenge driven and I doubt he can maintain it for so long since he's not much of a soldier anymore with his body. And everytime the object of his revenge die, he will be left again with phantom pain that at some point his motivation will just die along through time. He even somehow started a family and a daughter was once mentioned in one of the games. He's just like Huey who never really ratted out the DD or MSF but just went along with life and somehow his past sins haunted him in the present.
Maybe so. but after so many games with the same damn voice, it gets to be a bit grating. Also david hayter snake just tends to make my mind snap to how much I hate solid snakes whiny ass.
I've never played peace walker. It makes sense now y snake had to assign a body double to take his place in V. He was a target. They had to ensure his survival being the head of diamond dogs who they all revered. Still kinda messed up making somebody live your life.
Punished Fernando but in V, big boss said on the "the man who sold the world" tape at the end "now you know who you really are" which would mean big boss know initially that venom snake did not know he was not truly big boss. Venom snake went through psychotherapy to believe he was big boss. I don't think big boss beloved venom snake agreed to be big boss. He was in a coma. I think big boss took advantage of the situation.
@@coreydavis9546 But that has a double meaning, that could mean that he still was under the impression that the Medic consented to the whole thing, but that tape was to re explain it all back to him when his time had come. He underwent heavy amounts of psychotherapy and brainwashing to make him believe he was Big Boss, but the real Big Boss still may not have been informed that the Medic didn't consent to the process.
Good ol' MSF, where you actually get to play as the real Big Boss 😑. I just wish David Hayter didn't get so raspy and the end of his run. He was great in my opinion in 1 & 2. Didn't sound so forced.
"This mercenary business we've built, someday, it's going to be a new driving force in the world economy." "Snake, before I think we should invest in this company called Apple, it'll be huge!" "There'll be this sci-fi franchise that will over take the world called star wars." "We will some day play these things called video games, in fact Our lives will be so awesome, one werido from Japan will chronicle our lives and the lives of our descendants." "People will get into books again with this series called Harry Potter and the subsequent movie series." "Speaking of books and movies, comic books will grow into a pop culture phenomenon and make over a billion dollars." "Iran will hold American embassy workers hostage and it will seriously harm US-Iran relations for years." "And lastly, MSF will NOT be destroyed by a shriveled up cowboy and convince Huey to betray us and we'll be the bestest mercenary band for ever and ever... Kaz has spoken!" Big Boss: Neat! *MGS: GS and MGS5 happen* BB: Thanks a fuck load kaz! *pulls out Apple stock, doesn't return George Lucas' phone calls, talks with Marvel to turn Nick Fury into Big Boss break down, and MSF stops bothering a 9 year old girl to incorporate them into her future book series* (source: MGS: GZ and MGS5 deleted scenes)
David Hayter will always be Snake. Why couldn't they of just gotten Kurt Russel to voice snake anyway? Snakes character is based 90% on The Escape From series.
I also think Kojima did it this way specifically for that reason. I've never thought of Big Boss and Solid Snake as the same person and I was actually disappointed when Metal Gear Solid 3 came out and they had the same voice. I was even disappointed when I saw he would wear a bandana. Those are things that were unique to Solid Snake and somehow both of their characters felt diminished because of the cross referencing.
Mark Rodriguez I think it makes sense for Hayter to voice BB in Snake Eater. Think about it, they are both the same age and Snake is mostly an exact clone. They should have the same voice. I can understand 3, but I don't know why they made him sound the exact same in Peace Walker 10 years later.
