Metal Gear Solid Twin Snakes: Metal Gear Rex Boss Fight 

Rex is hands down one of the coolest mech designs.

“Now, you shall bare witness to the demon weapon that will drag the world down into the 21st century!" Has to be one of the most badass quotes in all of Metal Gear.

Nice roar on Rex. He actually sounds like he's made out of metal pushed to its limits.

I love how in MGS1, Liquid pilots a healthy and fully operational Rex but can't defeat a single man. But in MGS4 Snake has to somehow make it through with a badly damage, abandoned Rex vs a Liquid piloting a mech that was designed to counter Rex and yet liquid STILL loses. I guess part of those recessive genes is lacking the ability to pilot.

As much as I love the original voice-acting, I prefer some of Liquid's voice lines here (mainly "Instead of FOXHOUNDs, we use royal harriers" and "I'll crush you into DUST!"). His monologue preceding the fight wasn't bad either. Cam Clarke, you rule!!!

What's cool is gray fox was being honest about snake not aging well. Fucking foreshadowing.

Graphics is better than MGS1 but i prefer the MGS1 script/dialogue, its more emotional.

I definitely love the way gray fox dodging them bullets and how he used the sword on this version but I still love the music and the emotion in the original ps1 version.

Gray Fox may not have not had alot of screen time but he was the most depth and layered character Besides Solid, Big Boss, and Raiden and many i cant name.

Gray Fox: "You look terrible Snake, you haven't aged well." In MGS4 we learn that Solid Snake has accelerated aging due to telomere shortening. Gray Fox called it first!

What disappointed me was that in this remake, Rex doesn't have a penis that shoots a lazer at you.

Here's a theory, Rex is Sahelanthropus. Eli in chapter 2 of mgsv was seen in Sahelanthropus, leaving outer heaven. Judging from the design of Sahelanthropus and how mgsv happened before mgs, Rex must be Sahelanthropus. Kojima wouldn't of made their designs so similar is sahelanthropus wasn't Rex.

I wish, I owned a walking battle tank named Rex.

i hate the cutscene before the battle. snake, a trained soldier, had liquid at gunpoint, watched him climb into a deadly, world ending battle tank, fired and missed him at point blank range. and his first strategy is to try to drop kick it. i love this game, but seriously?

This game lacks the grittiness and charm of the original. Im glad the MGS3 remake is reusing the same voices and music.

find it bizarre that snake just stands there, has his gun pointed at liquid, can fire at anytime, listens to his whole monologue, and literally waits till he entires the cockpit of the nuclear warhead machine to finally fire his gun.

Wow this fight looks so much easier on this version of the game. Beat this game just the other day and I was struggling so hard even with body armour. Those missles were taking half of my health and of course the chaffs took much longer to detonate vs the twin snakes. I finally found a way to cheese it by going back and forth between the missles range. Even doing that you only had a few seconds to fire and aim a missle in the shitty first person view lol. Edit: I played the PS1 version

I like Rex's "eagle screech" in the PS1 version rather than his "elephant call" in this one. Same with Gray Fox's voice.

It’s weird. The voice acting for the HinD boss fight in this game sounds better than the original. Yet the Metal Gear Rex Boss fight sounded better than this.

Sony could have adapted this to PS2... i actually buy gamecube just to play this.

so whatever happened to metal gear sahalathnrapus? was it decided eventually that being THAT tall was maybe a problem? they kept the radar thing and its general head design it seems but now its more hunched over and has no arms

I always preferred MGS1 over TTS version, oh the nostalgia that I can feel with MGS1. the best ever!
